Bill Coy warned us about that challenge.  Might be fun one day.

Actually the Tail of the Gecko stradles Hillsboro and Manatee County. My wife and I, along with Grumpy, Tundra and a few others, did this ride a year or so ago after eating lunch at a little taco joint in Wimauma. It'll entertain you for a little while. If you start on the north end, turn left on Rt 62, go east and turn right pn Duate road and head south towards Mayaka. Fun roads all around. Come on down and play

My Bad, thought it was Polk? uglystupid2 anything south of SR60 is all Greek to me Grin I'm hoping that we can get this ride together for Saturday. It's still early in the week, but I always have riding on the brain.

Us northerners were thinking about making a run over to the Lakeside spot south of Tavares. On the lake, quite scenic, good food, and not halfway across the state for us. We've all been there before, can't recall the actual name. It's just off 19 a few miles south of Tavares.

Found it: Lake Harris Hideaway, 11912 Lane Park Road, Tavares. 352-343-3585, about a half mile west of #19. Weather permitting I think Jeff Parker and I will head over there Saturday since he's off that day.

I stopped to see him yesterday at his Home Depot store, told me he had both Friday and Saturday off this week. Doesn't happen very often so he wants to do something Saturday. Weather is supposed to be cooler but nice, so leather up folks.

Yes he does..and yes John is.. Grin. Thanks for making the call John, just been so damn busy. Most of us have been there before, last time for me was meeting Jerry and Sherri for lunch one day. What would a ride to the Hideaway be without a ride over to the Bakery for dessert!! This restaurant is almost famous for the highest Valkyrie wheelie of all time!! Hope he can join us too! Haven't seen Doug or Jack in awhile either. Jack, we will talk there.

I remember that, it was at the "point of no return" any other rider would have gone over. He is a skilled wheelieologist with many wheelies under his belt.

I am sorry to say that Viv and I are out. But the reason is a happy one: Our son Brent, his wife and two kids are spending the week end here with us.  cooldude

While I love riding and all my Vakyrie buds, family will always come first!  cooldude

Oops, I should add that with Jeff P and John S being on the ride it's tougher to pass up! Undecided Evil

Sorry to hear that Bill, hope you get some strong meds and knock it out quick.
I have been playing nurse maid myself and it keeps coming back since last Thursday. Now Andrea has it and it went from head/sinus/ fever to full blown upper repertory infection. She has great Insurance and saw the Dr.  Me, not so lucky.

Do like my 90+ uncle used to do for that....a shot of Jack every 3-4 hours and lots of rest. Also smoked cigars....correction; ceegars. Died at 96 from being t-boned while driving. He probably would have busted 100 if it hadn't been for a drunk driver. His eyesight was near perfect, would sit on his back porch with a single shot .22 and pick off pigeons from the peak of his barn roof nearly 100 yds. away. I used to laugh at my aunt, she told me he would fake being sick just so he could have a little extra "medicine."   Grin

Working on it, had this crud since Monday, today is the first I have got up and feel like it is getting better. Getting tired of going to doctors, but I guess it is a necessary evil.
