Just got home from the grocery store, meat prices have more than doubled since our last shopping.
We shopped just two weeks ago and two 1" sirloin steaks cost $9.00  The same weight, same cut of beef two steaks today were $19.00 today. Looks like all the beef has gone up.

Go figure, gas prices go down and now we get hit with higher prices on food  tickedoff

I wonder what is the reason for the price hike

But Doug now the farmers are finally getting a few bucks for the products.  Yes we have noticed the prices going up too.

I with you Doug, we shop about every 10 days, pick up small stuff as needed. With just the two of us it's not unusual to spend nearly $200 if we need other than just food stuffs. Last time we were checking out at the Publis we use, I noticed we had a ton of groceries and no TP. So just for fun I mentioned to the little gal doing the bagging; "can you imagine buying all these groceries and no TP?"  She giggled a bit, the older cashier lady smiled, the pinch I got turned purple by day's end.   Grin

just because the price of meats doubled , I wouldn't expect the rancher gets a dime more.
I still blame the rising cost of food on the ethonal hoax perpetrated on this country . turning food into fuel is rediculous.

Maybe now the price of ammo will drop.  If only the boat accident had not claimed all of the guns.
