OK, let's get one thing out of the way right off; who's this Mr. Schmidt guy? I answer to John, Hey You, dumbass, etc., but Mr. Schmidt???   2funny  Oh....and sometimes Smitty!

As for the seat and associated bibs, I earned them. A friend in Ft. Worth does it for a living and has 2-3 Valks. I fixed a $300 mistake a local know-it-all out there said he could do....and didn't. Had it in my garage for about 3 1/2 months about 5 yrs. ago and this is how he paid me. Gave me a choice, either $2800 in cash or the hand tooled leather set. The one in all my posts is built on a Corbin seat pan and is like sitting on a brick. Told him I couldn't handle it so he told me to find one I liked, shape it to fit me and send it out for him to cover it. I picked up a naked King Boy from Des at Ultimate seats, did some reshaping and sent it west. That's what I use the majority of the time now and is more comfy. My friend has the first seat in his shop at the moment, doing some reshaping of the nose to go with an I/S tank. So, what you see in the picture isn't what you'll see in person for the next few months.

It really is a unique looking seat.
That's the first thing that drew my eye when I first saw your bike years ago.
Truly one of a kind!

This link is to my friend Carman's site. He's quite an artist, been doing leather tooling for over 40 years. He has made boots for all kinds of people from the guy down the street to high profile movie stars, and all types in between. Obviously makes bike seats, will build you a saddle for your horse using matching leathers to the horses color, builds boots, chaps, you name it he can make it. Take a look through his website, will give you an idea of his work. He wants to come out for a few days in a couple months, soon as he can get caught up on orders. Gets a lot of them around the holidays.
