Hello , 

Is Progressive the only Option for Valkyries ? 

I like the Look of the Factory Rear Shocks , I do not really care for the Shocks to show the Springs even if Chrome.

Has anyone used the New Progressive  Lower Kit  in a Valkyrie ?  Any Comments about this ?  Pro's Con's Etc?

Works shocks are another shock for the rear but they also have xposed springs. Mine ar black with chrome bodies. I don't know of any that have a cover over the spring. Prog makes an air shock that has a body, but most folks who have tried them don't like the ride as well as 440's.

I just put a set of 440's on the I/S the other day and they are all black. Body, adjuster, springs, shaft all black. They disappear to the casual eye. I replaced an almost new set of 13" chrome 440's with the black 12". Best price I found was at  phatperformanceparts.com   Free shipping unless you are in the Corrupt Socialist Demokratik Canada.

It might be possible that Works Shocks people can rebuild the innards ( "Heart Transplant") of your OEM shocks.  You could email or call them to inquire.

From the picture it looks like you ride a standard.  I put Interstate rear shocks on mine and it made a big difference (they are heavier duty to handle the added weight of the IS).  Lots of those who went Progressive have a set lying around that you can get at a decent price, many were pulled after low miles.

No,  a Tourer Hard Bags , I think mine are fine , I been looking for replacment for my buddies Stock Shocks.

I never priced OEM ones yet.

I really like the looks of OEM but my other friend has progressive and the shorter ones, I can easily Flat foot on his bike with out reposition myself in the saddle. I can FLat foot mine, but I have a diff seat and sometimes I have to wiggle a tad, not bad . Problem is we have no idea what my one friends Progressives are.

I've got the Progressive Air Shocks on mine and I've been real happy with them. No springs obviously.
