Did they make more than one style of exhaust for the Valkyrie from 1996-2003? If so what is the difference.

Not OEM but there were several aftermarket exhaust made. they did make a different tip for them but exhaust was the same. An I/S exhaust has longer piggies and are turned flat whereas the std/tourer were vertical but other than that the same.

Even on the OEM exhausts, the tips are different on the Interstate--they're sideways as opposed to the Standard and Tourer, which are vertical.

There are two "styles". Interstate exhaust and the exhaust for the Standards and the Touers.

The ONLY difference is the tips as I stated earlier they will interchange on any 1500 Valk 1997-2003.
