I don't know of any at present.  We are in Worthington Springs  8 miles South of Lake Butler.  Once in a while we get up a lunch ride to BBQ Bills in Chiefland.  Keep watching the board.

We do ride up in all those areas from time to time. I believe we has a photo shoot or to in Cross City buy all the abandoned buildings?

Hay Tony...Homassa is not that far. Almost like neighbors. Have sent for some warm gear, should be hear soon. Then have to address the problem of the seat. Stock seat, and like sitting on a board. Took it to a local apholstry shop, and he will completly redo it for $250. Seems like a deal. Anyway, should be showing up at some of the gatherings by the end of next week. The thumb will be pretty much healed up by then. Don't know anyone in Old Town by that name, but don't really know that many people hear anyway.

Bigjohn  I'm not sure what year seats are better but someone on here may know.
Don't know what year Valk you have but I have a 98 Tourer seat.  Not sure if it's any better that what you have.
Can someone chime in on the years that are better?

2000 And Later, Standard/ Tourer Drivers Seat Is A Lot More Comfortable Than The 97-99 Model Drivers Seat .

My valk is a 2000. I would hate to think someone is sitting on a seat harder than mine! The bike has 62700 mi. Maybe it's just warn out. Also timing belts may be original. May be a good idea to replace them before any long rides. Rode it to the store yesterday, and it was hard to start, and noticed a rattling noise between 15 and 35 mph. Already have the yamaha 1100 in the shop, so will have to wait on repairs to the valk. The bad thing is...I have 5 bikes, and can't ride any at the moment.

I am planning  Shocked someday to get a Russell Day long and was going to use the 98 seat to send into them and keep my 2003 stock seat.

As far as I understand you have to send in your seat.

John the seat on 97-99 are softer and flatter.but worse on a day long trip.  In my experience I am more comfortable on a stiffer seat than soft. As on a soft seat you soon will feel as you are sitting on the pan alone.

Find myself in kind of a pickle. There is only one shop in this area, and they have had the yamaha in there for three weeks now. They have a very good mechanic, but he was sick for a week, and they are really stacked up on work. Would do me no good to take the valk in for the belts. If anyone knows of a good mechanic that needs work, they really need someone!
