I was looking at my seat the other day and noticed that the vinyl was cracking and splitting on one of the seams. I call Ultimate to ask about sending it back for a recover. Keep in mind it's over 10 years old and has about a 110,000 miles on it. Des got back to me and said that since it was so old and so  many miles it would have to be completely rebuilt with foam as well. I would be better off just buying a new one. So I ordered a new one and Des gave $50.00 off also. He said I could keep my old seat which more than likely I'll try to sale. Then I talked about the issues I have with not finding the right back rest that will work for me. I have the Kingboy seat which works great for me but every back rest I tried but me to far forward. They said they have one that should work and it didn't I can return it. I have to say Ultimate has great customer service.

I don't envy you having to break in a seat, but with the mileage that you ride it should be over pretty quickly. You'll probably find that your old Ultimate had degraded slowly over the years and the new one will soon feel even better.
