Dear friends

My I/S trunk has 2 brackets that holds the lid in place, each bracket is hold in place by 3 screws. On the right bracket, 2 of those screws got loose and won't stay put.

It seems that the holes got a bit loose and just trying to retorque the screws won't work. I considered using silicon or other similar material to fill the hole and then retorque the screws... But I would like to hear suggestions about the best way to properly fix it.

Best regards

If it's what I think, the nut that  was once molded in the plastic is turning. Carefully pull the nut free and use JB weld to reposition it in the lid. Be careful to keep the weld out the threads. Some of the mounting points on my I/S faring had the same problem.
