Hello again Gents. I installed the Rifle Windshield that came with the machine, had to remove the lightbar that was on it though. So, the light bar was a 1/4ish spacer under the lamp and with the mounting brackets all the way down to the triple tree there is a healthy space between the top of the headlamp and bottom of the windshield. Before I go off and shove a spacer of one sort or another I knew to ask you guys what has been used before. Looks like I could get 1/2" before contacting the guages. Suggestions? Thanks as always. coolsmiley

I raised my headlight about 1/2 an inch when I installed the MS batwing. I picked up some 1/2 inch chrome spacers from homedepot.

Tip the shield.  It will take up the space and provide a bunch of other benefits.  I did that with my Rifle shield, than the same again later when I switched to the Hondaline.  See http://www.horseapple.com/Valkyrie/Tech_Tips/Windshield_Tipping/windshield_tipping.html

Thanks, I considered leaning it back. Didn't consider a benefit to airflow past the headlight either.
