I was planning to leave with John (LocoMech) and Gina on Thursday the 4th. Not sure I'll be in shape to make the run in 2 days.

Im not a member of Vermin either, it doesn't matter. You don't even have to be a member of the VRCC to go to Inzane. All are welcome.
I look forward to meeting you and everyone you bring to Inzane cooldude

True, it doesn't matter... but secretly, way down deep inside, you probably dream about being a Vermin. The cool patches, code names, secret hand shakes, and riding with the best Valkyrie Club in the NW.

Although the Vermin Club is the Washington State Chapter of the VRCC, we do have members from other states. Just sayin'.

Icelander is IN.

Unfortunately Locomech and Letsgo are out... Sad

Trying to pull together the list of people starting out in Seattle and getting us all to Boise on the 3rd.

Whoray, Domino 1, & Nogrey - Are we meeting you at the Best Western Airport?

So, I normally use Firefox as my default browser. When I go to register for Inzane 2015, it tells me to not use Firefox because things might not work properly. Now that I am using the Google browser, I'll be darned if I can get anywhere near the registration page. What am I doing wrong? tickedoff

While I'm not sure how the NW Valk Riders forum is the right place to ask this question, I'll take a stab at answering it for you.

Can you get to the Main page?
http://www.valkyrieriders.com/InZane/Registration1.html

This is the Full-Deal registration page:
http://www.valkyrieriders.com/InZane/Reg_Full_Deal2.html

Here's the day-pass page:
http://www.valkyrieriders.com/InZane/Reg_Day_Pass.html

Try these links and hopefully you'll be able to get registered. If not, you may want to contact the organizers at this page:
http://www.valkyrieriders.com/InZane/Contact_Us.htm

Hope this helps.

Ok. I'm starting to have some doubts about my itinerary.

I'm looking at an 11-hour day to get from Seattle to Boise to meet up with the rest of the crew from Nampa. Realistically, this should be a two-day ride as I've got *alot* of miles ahead of me, but I just can't even think of asking for yet another vacation day. This puts me in a bind.

I'd really like to ride with Whoray and Nogrey and whomever they bring along with them, but I'm starting to wonder if pushing myself that far out on the first leg of my trip is the smart thing to do.

I'm wondering if Seattle, to Coeur d'Alene, to West Yellowstone isn't a better route for me, tho it does deprive me of a day of riding with these fine folk,

I'd really appreciate some feedback from more experienced riders out there.

Thanks!

Icelander, I feel your pain. you could just take the shortest route to West Yellowstone and just meet us there. But....we would miss you riding with us from Boise.
Another way to look at it is it is only about 385 from Boise to West Yellowstone. If it was possible for you to endure the long day of riding getting here you would have a short ride with us. If you get to Boise I will buy your breakfast Thursday am before we leave Smiley
Anyway you decide to go we will look forward to meeting up with you.   Raymond (Whooray) Hill

Icelander, have you been to any of the Valhalla Rallies in New Denver BC?

For me it's a 9 hr drive, and I've done it in 10-12 hrs. It's long, but it's my co-pilot who makes it longer (12 hrs, solo 10 hrs).

Personally, don't push it, you're going for a week aren't you? So you'll be putting a lot of miles on with a lot of good fellow riders.

Other than the Cascade Loop run the Vermin did two weeks ago, I've never been on anything more than 200 miles in a day. CL was 400.

I'm planning to leave Seattle early (5-ish) Wednesday the 3rd and touch base with O-B-1 in Benton City. Then I'll proceed on to Boise. I'm going to take it easy and ride my own ride. Stop when I'm tired/bored/uncomfortable and shake it off.

I should be fine. Just getting the jitters before my first truly big ride.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm looking forward to seeing you all.

Just don't try to do all the miles at once. A 15 minute break every so often helps me immensely.  cooldude

Thanks! That's the plan. I'm basically giving myself 15 hours of daylight to get an 8 hour ride in. I'll take my time, stop and appreciate the view periodically and not stress myself out about getting there.

(I'm the 15-minutes-early-is-on-time type.)

I used to be really anal about being 15 minutes early to stuff. Now I get to work 2 minutes till. And nobody cares a thing and all is good. Now if its going somewhere with my wife she makes us 30 minutes early and we stand around and wait  Roll Eyes
Looking forward to meeting you NW guys  cooldude

Still on the road but plan to be back home today. Just hit the 3000 mile mark on this trip.

I've learned a ton from Redline, Whooray, Nogray, and Domino1.

I want to thank you all for your company, your suggestions, and your patience.

Finally made it home! My wife and daughter were waiting for me with the shop door open and big hugs when I got the old girl parked.

Glad to be back in my own bed.
