I had a Avon Cobra on and got 15,853 k  out of it  cooldude
I though I was going to  change my front wheel bearings ..
But they are still smooth as silk at 142,498 k ....  ??? Go figure..
So as I have been told if it's not broke don't fix it...
But always travle with new bearings , in the parts bag just in case...

I always got good tread wear from Avon Venom's 12k -14k

That's very good. I think that is at the upper range of MPT (miles per tire).

Always the best policy.  " if it's not broke don't fix it..."

Especially when dealing with a Valkyrie!

So true..  cooldude
But I have done timing belts @ 122+ K They looked fine...
Have done the brushes @ 55K ...
I better change them once again... Roll Eyes Now That I think about it  Shocked...
Replaced the whole Clutch @ 122K The 10 rivets let go ....
Scored the whole inner & Outter baskets. Shocked..

So yes most of the time I don't fix stuff unless it's broke  cooldude....

My notebook is finally starting to work well so I can post w/o locking up...

I put a new Avon on the front this spring. It is the noisest tire I've ever had on the Valk. Is your front Avon loud.

I have had 3 sets of Venoms and now have a Cobra on the front. The worst front tire mileage I got was 24K. The best was over 27K. I run 42PSI. I have a difficult time understanding why others don't get the same mileage.

I do say that is great, truly so, and I wish I could get the same from my tires, thought I don't.

I think you are at the extreme high end with that mileage.

An awful lot depend upon the many variables, To mention only a few would be: (1) tire pressure, (2) road, tire temperature, (3) tire rubber compound, (4) operating weight, (5) riding style, (6) riding habits, (7) road type, (8 ) road conditions, and lastly:

(9) How far down you are willing to ride the tire before replacing it.

Tracy rides a trike.  She obviously has two car tires on the back pushing a single motorcycle tire on the front.  I think 15K is really good for that configuration.   Smiley

Come up to PA for a couple months...you can measure the the tire wear on a week by week basis around here.  The only way I could get that kinda mileage would be to ride wheelies everywhere...but then again, my odometer wouldn't count up the miles either...so I'm still SOL.

I run 38-40 PSI ....  We ride twisties all the time .. Live in the mountains.. Our road surface is different then others..
I change my tires when I'm on the wear bars.... Yes I know a few folks that would ride it down a little more..
I DON'T.. That's just me.... That last 20% of a tire is a danger zone in my book....

Plus one here... I found the E3's to be a lot more noisy than the Cobra I put in the front this spring. Not to talk about the rear!!
