Moved out of where I've been for teh past 3 or so years into my own place.

Got my stuff out of storage and it's liek Christmas. Bloody hell I have a micro wave.

Friend gave me a 32" Samsung flat screen as a house warming present. It's good to have friends in the trade show business.  cooldude

House has 4 different types of chillis in the back yard. One of them is about the size of the top joint on yer pinkie finger.

I cut one this morning and only just touched my tongue with it. I can still feel the area I of my tongue I touched, it was bloody HOT  Shocked

I also have okra and padi beans along with some small tomatoes which are just beginning to turn red.

My mutt Bear has settled in nicely.

The house is about 1 1/2 miles from the bus yard where I have to pick up my school bus (*Bessie*) in the morning.

All is good. Can now listen to all the music I want at any volume, no close neighbours.

I'm as happy as a pig in deep doo-doo.

Britman, did you hear about the school bus driver who died and went to Hell?...............he was there 3 days before he realized he wasn't on his route.

This from a 32 year school teacher. 2funny

I really enjoy the job, all 2 weeks of it so far.

The pre K and elementary kids are great fun and what characters.

50 % of the high school kids are too cool or weird to acknowledge me, I feel sorry for them. The others are great. Everyone knows the rules so everyone behaves. If they cause a fuss I can write them up and it can affect their getting a drivers license.

One of my little kid loads is all Hispanic. I've never seen a better behaved or better dressed group of 70 + kids. They do pretty much behave and will listen to my commands to sit down etc. I'm very polite and always command them with a please and thank you.

My outside voice can easily carry to the back of the bus. I use the onboard PA as a measure of last resort. That's when they REALLY know I'm serious.

Good for you Britman. I've been driving for Scottsdale, AZ for almost 5 years now. I love the job but the middle school kids can be a challenge. Too many hormones at that age. I wish my rightups would affect their drivers license. Maybe they'd care a bit more.

If ya got a grill, all you need is the heat maker (gas charcoal ect) and ice in a tub. Have a "bring a slab of flesh and Y.O.B." party. If they want steak, they bring steak.

Thats how you can have partys on the cheap.

We had "cook your own steak" night at the Officers Club at one of my bases years ago.
They were always some of the most fun nights at the Club. It really caught on and people starting having parties like that at their homes.

Congrats on the elbow room.
Glad the hauling 70+ kids is working well for you.
