Can anybody point me to a cooler thermo stat switch, to mount in the radiator ? I want the fan's on my blower bike to start cooling sooner.
When in slow traffic, or standing still, there is not enough air going through the radiator, and she starts to heat up quickly. By the time the OEM thermo stat switch 37760-MT2-003 turns on the 2 fans, my temp is already reading 100 °C, and it can just keep it from getting hotter. the forced air flow is not enough to get the temp back down.
So now when getting stuck in traffic, I force it by flipping the switch manually, when I see the temp going over 90°C. But I would like to have a thermo stat switch that does what it is supposed to do : turn on the fans in time. anybody know of a partnr or how to alter a thermo stat switch ?
Thanks in advance, Anthony

A friend of mine had me help him put a switch in-line with the sensor so he can turn on the fan anytime he wants. Was very easy, cost 2 or 3 dollars maybe and the simplest way to solve the problem

that manual switch I have already installed, but I am getting tired of having to think about it : I want to be able to have my attention on the road, traffic, ... instead of temp gauge, switch, ... so I am looking for a thermo stat switch that does what it is supposed to do : turn on the fans when required.
Steve, any suggestion on a place where I could install one of those switches ? I already have installed a thermo sensor in the engine block, bottom, right side, that feeds my water temp gauge.

How does your 100c compare to the US 210*? I think that converts to about 212*, if so, you are worrying about nothing. Ride the Phat gurl and enjoy her.
Those engines are designed to run hot and cool sufficiently.
I think you might be worrying about nothing.
I have 243K+ on MGM and he still runs like a scalded dog and no issues. Engine has not been open. I run synthetic oil.

Anthony - would guess bottom hose just cos thats where there is more room. Used to have problems with my blower overheating and like you had installed an overrun switch. However changed to two Spall (I think) pusher fans and Water Wetter in the coolant and it now seems controllable. When we changed the paint set and had a tidy up last winter felt confident enough to remove the overrun switch.
RJ agreed the stock bike seems to run cool enough. Very rarely hear the fan on my stock Valk but then its a (95 000) low mileage example. My supercharged Valk in summer can be extremely warm - maybe more noticeable as that plastic shield behind the rad had to be removed.

just an update on my temperature issue on the blower bike: I changed the cooling liquid to "engine ice" cooling liquid, something similar to water wetter that is available here in Belgium, and she runs 10°C cooler: when sitting for a red light, or a traffic jam, the temp needle still goes up, but stays at 90°C instead of going just over the 100°C, even without the dual fans on.
thanks for the tip SteveB !

Most automotive parts stores should have a list of fan switches for most vehicles. Just need the correct thread size and sealing method on the threads. Have not pulled a Valk switch but my Magna uses an O ring on straight metric thread. Usually a fair selection of operating temperatures are available

Just a suggestion, I work in the automotive field and we use the Hayden (cooing fans and controler) brand on all of our mobile eguipment(forklifts, manlifts). They offer an contorler that is adjustable part #3655, it comes with relay and temp sensor. FYI!
