Why don't you guys just meet at the rest area east of Longwood. Can't miss it, just go through town on I-4 and it will be on the right once you're past SR434 in Longwood.

Got back home around 9:00, we had a great day of riding mixed with the Daytona atmosphere and all.

Met the other 4 at the rest area and we then headed for breakfast
After breakfast, Gil led us to the Daytona Loop via back roads, including a stop at the beach.
Quiet a few photographers taking pictures as you ride the loop, I guess we will have to search for them and see if they are worth buying.

BIG THANKS to Gil for leading us, we got to see some beautiful scenery   cooldude

We then headed to Ormond Beach/Destination, did the browsing stuff and Nick got his Valk a special treatment, I'll let him reveal it. Nice going Nick  cooldude

We then parted ways, I was planning on going to the Speedway but decided to stop by the Iron Horse to get some chow and got to talking to some people I knew, time got away and had to skip Speedway so I could head home.
Jumped on I-4 (no real traffic, thank God) and then jumped on 417 all the way to South Orlando, nice cool ride all the way home.

Larue, we missed you brother but I know things don't always work out the way we plan and family is first. Next time

No pics on my end since Gil and Nick were there and they are usually all over the picture thing  Grin

It was and awesome day, hope everyone mad it back home ok.

Started he day in the dark and finished in the dark.  Got home around 9:20 PM.

Met with Don (OLD FRT) and soon Nick showed up.  We headed to Dover where Nicks home town friend (Rob) was staying.  He joined our ride (on a very nice Goldwing) and we made our way to East Orlando and waited at a rest stop for Jack.  Timing was perfect and Jack rolled in just after we parked.  Another Valk rider (John?) rolled in but did not join us.  Next a quick breakfast and I lead us to the Holly Hill loop.  I4 became a parking lot so down 44 to back roads to I95.  Turns out it was a good choice.  A tall slender long hair blonde was on the golf course.  Hearing the Valk's engine she flipped her hair as she turned to smile we all later agreed she was worth the departure.  Jack being versed in lip reading swears she was saying "Tell Billy Boy hello".  Guess he has been here before.

Off to Ormond beach and the loop ride, we stopped at the ocean for photos.  Then to the Harley dealer for girls wearing little, circus food, and Nicks bike modifications.  Several under dressed ladies asked where Billy Boy was, wow we are famous for knowing him.  Magic or Voodoo he seems to have a spell on the women.

Talked with the Scala rep (chewed him out) about the comm issues we have.  He advises the Sena is a nice unit but Scala is about to release a new unit that will offer better group connections but only for the new units and it will not work with older units in the new mode.  It will use hub networking (WiFi I'm guessing) with extended range (3+miles).  No answers to what good is longer range when it takes an hour to connect for a half hour ride.  Also they will not charge while using them just as the current units (another weakness).

Rick (from PA?) found us and we had a good chat.  Don then Jack cut us loose and later I headed home solo.  Returned through the country finding a quick shower in the setting sun was painful.  Eventually needing gas a realized I was near Bert's area, a favorite riding spot.  Slowed down worried about animals, especially since the roads were empty and I was alone.  With the rain gone and the lights on bright I made it south to 52 and zipped home.

In all a great day, fun riding, and general therapy.

Thanks Nick your new mods look great.  Hope you post photos.

Gil & Jack pretty much summed up the ride with their posts, so I will just put up the proof. Thanks again to Gil for that Awesome back road to the Ocean !! cooldude

I was having trouble with my computer. Every time I got 3/4 of the way thru linking the pictures, my computer  freeze up? So I am just putting a link to a slide show, but there are a lot of older ride pictures in there as well, so enjoy !!

Great Ride today thru the back roads of Parish. Jerry took us on some very cool roads I have never been on, nor could I find them again if I tried  Grin

Pretty good turn out, it was Me, John Paul, Jerry, Don, ED & Lastri. We also did lunch at Mazzaros as planned, and it was a ZOO to say the least. We still got to eat and it was Awesome food as usual.

Jerry goes to an Italian Market and orders a Gyro  2funny He enjoyed it anyway. He tried to sit down without paying first and the Register Nazi layed into him Grin  Jerry had no clue how things go there, but she set him straight.

Soon as we pull in there was no spots to be had so we pulled onto the grass up front. Put my kick stand plate down so I wouldn't sink into the grass. First step off the bike was into a pile of Hot Dog $%it !! Not only did I step in it, but it was under my kick stand plate and on my shift lever as well tickedoff

Guess that's real good luck for me. Besides the backup on the Northbound Skyway toll booths it was smooth sailing, apparently everyone was trying to merge into the one sunpass lane on the left? Even though all the lanes work with the sunpass...Idiots.

Here are a few pictures
