Hey fellow Valk' addicts....

....just back from Daytona Bike Week 2015.  In a word; wow!  Regardless, I lugged down a set of Cobra driving lights to mount and wire at Cobra and found out they are not compatible with the Clearview windshield (I have a "shorty", or 2" shorter than stock).

I think I may need to cut the windshield to install the Cobras.  Anyone have first-hand experience here, recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

A Clearview windshield with a Cobra lightbar on a STD/Tourer
should not be any kind of issue... works great...

+1.  No issues on a Tourer.

Hmmmm

Can you estimate the clearance behind the actual driving light housings and turn signal housings?  Sincerely curious.

There are probably thousands of Valks out there with Cobra light bars and Tourer windshields.

The height of your shield has nothing to do with mounting your light bar.

You're doing something wrong.

not sure if you are aware that the stock turn signals have to be removed and mounted underneath the actual spotlight. look closely at the picture posted. I thought it was in the mounting instructions from cobra, maybe not. I've had my cobra light bat on since 2000. no problems mounting, just a little rust starting to appear on the arms. also, you need to turn on spot about 45 degrees when you install the shield, then turn it back and tighten nut under arm holding spotlight.

Kunkies, keep posting on this. I also have a Cobra Light Bar with turn signals and more than anything (except maybe hanging drywall), I hate electric wiring.

You don't have to turn the light for a Clearview because there's no windshield under the headlight like the OEM shield.

If you decide to get rid of those lights I may be interested.
