ok... My search skills aren't the best... Pulled the carb bank and cleaned the Jets and bowls.. Did not separate the carbs from the bank...

Reassembled and installed them.. When I twist the throttle it does not snap back...

Is there a return spring somewhere that could be missing?? If I remember correctly it was a little stiff even before I pulled the carbs..

Yes there is a return spring. on the bell crank.
If you tighten the throttle cable  and the return cable to tight they will bind. Leave a little play in the two cables.

Be sure and route the cables so they do not bind with too tight bends or strain.

iv'e done this myself a few times. when re-installing the airbox if the cables are not on the right side of the right front air tube the cables will bind up.

Thanks for the replies.... Of course, I SHOULD have tested all that before putting the tank back on!!

On the bright side, I took her for a spin after doing the carbs..Man, what a difference in performance!!

So, today or tomorrow I will pull the tank and see what I did to cause the throttle to bind...

Cheers,

Well.... Couldn't stand it any more. Got off work a little early... Pulled the tank and started backing off on the cable nuts... Finally!! Throttle operates as it should...

Definitely will remember this little exercise if I ever pull the carbs in the future...

Cheers,
