Anybody have experience in removing the honda badge from the backrest on an interstate trunk? I'm worried I'm going to tear the thin leather or material if I just pull it off.

I believe there is a Honda badge on the top, rear of the passenger backpad. And, no I've never removed one. I've taken the Valkyrie mastheads off the tank and the Valkyrie letters off the trunk lid.....

I removed the "Honda" from the back of my Tourer passenger seat with brake fluid on a cloth or a paper towel (don't remember).  For the short amount of time it took, it didn't damage the vinyl.  I see no reason why it wouldn't work for you, as long as you're VERY careful not to let the brake fluid run/drip anywhere else.

The original interstate trunk rest has a metal plate with Honda stuck in the back of the vinyl facing backwards.  My trunk rest went to Ultimate for a rebuild 10 years ago.  I do not know if it is tacked or screwed on (probably tacked), and I suspect you end up with two holes if you yank it off. It cannot be rubbed off like paint on a tourer/std pillion.  If you don't pull it, you could probably paint it black to make it disappear.

But now that I think about it, why not call Ultimate Seats up and ask them about removing it?  They remove the whole cover and replace it, but they might just have a decent idea about getting it off there, if no one else does.

I like the EXO Scorpion 100 half helmet, but do not like the big chromy mark of Zorro (or SS rune) on the forehead.  It seems to be under the clear coat, so I don't want to chisel it off.  So I use a flat black marker and paint it black to make it disappear.  I have to go back at it now and then when the shiny comes back.

It's hard to find good pics.

Sometimes people don't put enough thought into their  symbology/logos.  (Note Honda did not call it a Valkyrie in Europe for just this reason; It's an F6C in Europe)

Thanks for the picture.    Pictures speak a lot of truth when asking questions.     I'd forgotten about that badge.

Eit cannot be removed unless you are going to recover it it is put on with brads and a metal plate under the cover so it will leave holes.

Bighead is wright. I converted mine to a gel seat and had to change the cover. The name plate is held by two small rivets. Took it off and used double face tape on the new cover
