I am looking for food and hotel recommendations for Winchester VA. Will be riding thru the end of September on my 3 day ride with my group...if anyone has suggestions, I would certaily appreciate them.

Also for Virgina Beach area...

  The intersection of rt7 and 50 there are all kinds of food and hotels.
       Wait I mean rt50 and 81.

YOU SHOULD TRY AND MAKE A 30 MILE DETOUR ON ROUTE 66 ( JUST TWO EXITS SOUTH OF Winchester off I 81) and stay at front Royal.  Great town and lots of motels at a good price.  Nice restaurants too.  It is the starting point for the Skyline and Blue Ridge Parkways

I have stayed at Front Royal on 4 different occasions. It is biker friendly and you will certainly see a lot of bikers at your hotel.  Check out Front Royal on the internet. Beware though if you go during leaf color season, hotels can be packed and a little more pricey.  You should be OK until around October 10 then it gets real busy.
