Some of you might recall that I've got a '78 Nekkid Goldwing.  Love the thing.  Raised it from a pup.  Actually, rescued it from a young man in over his head who was "bobbing" it.    Luckily, I got to it before he could do any real damage.  He got it from the original owner who'd cared for it appropriately.

I fixed the screwed up stuff, un-did what the kid had done, added a few goodies and was done.   Finished last October.  Some friends have put me up to entering it in a show here this Sunday during Arizona Bike Week.  Cafe class.  If nothing else, it'll get attention just because "heavy" cafe bikes are unusual (if not just plain dumb).

Anyway, during my extensive detailing sessions I happened to have it close to the Valkyrie.  I noticed what I thought to be a nice Kodak moment.   Kinda interesting to see the evolution up close and personal.  Just need an 1800 in the shot.

Hmmm....

I'm sure it won't come as a huge surprise that I didn't take home the trophy in the cafe class with a GL. Competition in that class was absolutely fierce and some fabulous machines were on display.

Nonetheless, the bike drew lots of favorable comments. Although common over on the NGW forum, most folks (even those in the motorcycling world) have never seen a "cafe" Goldwing. In fact, many don't remember Naked Goldwings! Lots of surprised looks. It was a great day - if a little hot. Temperature topped out in the mid 90sF !!

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

I had a '68 Harley Rapido 125 (like in your first pic).

Lots of smiles were had on that little bike.
