woke up the phat girl from a tough winter in Massachusetts ... started up fine and music to my ears
let the girl run for a while ( playing with the throttle ) then I noticed smoke (and could smell oil ) coming from the right side header pipe ..shut her down and started looking .. nothing but a LITTLE damp around the shift shaft seal ...my question , is there anything else ( which i didn't see ) that I could have missed
I looked with mirror at head...valve cover ect ... could it be from sitting ??

thanks guys

Shifter seal probably just needs replacing.

If you've got no oil stain on the ground it's probably just a little seepage from the shifter seal.  Don't know why the right (brake pedal) side is smoking?

Make sure the oil level is right and don't worry about it unless it's still doing it after some good miles.  I've had very small seepage from the shifter seal that has stopped on it's own.
