Wish I had something clever or wise to say but just wanted to thank all of you for the friendship and help these past three years that I owned my Valkyrie.
I sold my beautiful bike to a nice young fellow who works for the local Coppell Hyundai dealer.
I put him on to you guys and the VRCC Forum. I expect you will be meeting him soon. (Steve Wayne)
I really appreciate  not only your friendship but the wrenching you did for me.
This will be the first night in 12 years that there will not be a motorcycle in my garage; seems strange indeed.
I took one last ride this morning. I feel good. It's just time for me to get out of the traffic (on a motorcycle)
I will probably grab dinner with you some Thursday soon.

Your friend,
WDAN  (Danny Monts)

Congratulations Dan on the sale, hope you got your asking price.  I appalled you for knowing when to say when.  Don't be a stranger.

Blessings,

Woody

I think Woody meant to say "applaud".  I also applaud you for your decision - it's a hard one to make, but a strong man can do it.

But just because you don't ride doesn't mean you can't come to dinners, wrench parties and other events.   Don't be a stranger.

I too applaud your decision.  Incredibly difficult, but yet incredibly mature.

I'm quessing there's a convertible vette with your name on it somewhere.  Go find it!

I'm sorry your two-wheeling days are behind you, but the bright side is you made it out alive!   angel

And, along the lines of what chauffeur said, there are lots of cool convertibles out there that would look good driving sweep behind a group of Valkyries.   cooldude

Windshield wipers, no rain gear, heater blowing on your toes or A/C in your face, trunk, etc...  Sounds good, huh?!   Wink

Dan,

Sounds like there is a new happy  Cheesy Valk owner out there.

Dan it was a pleasure meeting you.  I enjoyed our ride back from GOTF a few years back.  Stay in touch and come by and join us for dinner when you can.

You take care and keep on spinning.

Dan,

Thank you for introducing me to Paul, can't wait to see my newly covered seats!

Sorry to hear you're stepping away from two wheels, but based on what you've shared here, I understand.  I hope you continue to feel better!
