Yes it is Terry, I did about 15 miles before family came over, which was nice too. but this loop thing reminds me I haven't flown my R/C plane in a long time.  cooldude

Mike I have a friend in Waycross that does the R/C planes.  He also has a couple of Harley's and several Cushman's.  He just got home from the Southeastern Cushman Club meeting in Perry Ga.  He and I are both Amateur Radio operators (Hams) and I think there might an allocation in the ham bands for R/C planes.

I have a bedroom in the house I call the hangar. Full of RC planes. Havent flown in a while though.
Lesa and I rode over to Daytona yesterday, then up to Destination Daytona. She got some good (bad traffic) experience on 92 as it was nothing but stop and go. Some good I-95 miles at around 75+ and some more just good old relaxing back roads miles under her belt on the Valk. Ate upstairs at the Blackwater Inn in Astor. Sneaking up on the 500 mile mark for her already and doing super.

I fly my r/c planes down here a couple of times a week.  Very fortunate to have a flying field only 8 miles from our park.  Up home my r/c club is 25 miles away.  Hard to justify 50 miles to fly a couple of hours.  Wish I could haul planes with the trike.

It gets tough when your wings are mid-80" and up. Not to mention the fuselages and their bulk.

We have an RC field about 1/2 mile from the farm, but nothing but 2 meter and wider wing span is allowed. Really fun to watch.

Haven't they changed the way the Frequency works now ? My equip is late 90's technology, probably cost more than its worth just for new batteries all around.  A fun hobby, I loved building them a lot, if one had time.

Yep! No more worry about who's on what channel. The new stuff is paired to the reciever in the plane and will choose an open channel. It is always sampling the quality of the freq. and it is capable of changing channels if the one it is on is being stepped on.
On the radio you simply select the plane you are getting ready to fly and the radio will do the rest.
