Thinking of replacing the valve stem seals with the umbrella type:

Has anyone installed this type on a valkyrie before?  Any concerns?

Thanks

Bad idea, Artic Rat is correct, stay with the positive type seal. Umbrella seals are fine for older pushrod engines, but with overhead cams there's a lot of oil flying around under those valve covers.

The Valkyrie in particular, with the valves located nearly horizontal, would be a very poor candidate for umbrella seals. Ever hold your umbrella horizontal in a rain storm, doesn't work well.
