I just picked up an IS after losing my Standard to an accident. On the IS trunk outer shell, there is a 1" triangle chip knocked out by the taillight. From there, there are two 12" long cracks running about 1" apart along the side of the trunk. I have pulled the trunk off and taken the inner liner out.

The cracks can be easily pulled open so I could get some adhesive in the crack as well as applying a patch inside. My only problem is that I don't know what material this is. I hate to use the wrong adhesive only to have it not hold and be worse off.

Any info would be appreciated...

Thanks,
Sid
