Hi Guys,

A simple question. I took the airbox out to replace my vaccuum lines yesterday and found my airbox only has one gasket. It should have two - one over and and one under the air cleaner element.

How critical is it to have both gaskets? If I run with only one (which has been the case since I bought the bike 3.5 years ago) until I can get another, which side of the element is most important to seal? The top or the bottom? Logic is telling me the bottom, but I thought I'd ask you guys.

Thanks,

Mark

Are you running a stock filter? If so, I'd probably stick with the bottom. If you're running a K&N filter, you don't need either gasket since the filter is its own gasket.

Thanks! Its the stock filter. I need my eyes checked. Turns out there are two gaskets there, just couldn't see the one on the bottom!

Crisis averted! uglystupid2
