...Even with the weather up here as cool as it's been ...the Michigan Misguided has been having some great rides this summer(and I use that term lightly 60* and raining right now)

I know alot of folks are headed to Minnesota this weekend and I hope you have a good time...alot of the Misguided will be riding in Grand Rapids (Mi) and Stitch's Metro Cruise poker run...one of our Chapters signature rides I just have a few questions for Stitch

...Are we going to be riding on full size roads?

...or should we be ready for some condensed size roads?...

...and are we going to be riding dragons?...

...will there be road hazards?....

...WoooHooo getting ready to roll....

this is what I am planning:  lots of decent roads and pretty sights in St. Francisville.

...one of the most haunted places in America...The Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville.  There's an interesting story about a house slave who was caught eavesdropping, so the owner cut off one of her ears.  When she was caught doing it again, they sent out to work in the fields.  She devised a plan to make some homemade cakes for the children, and put something in them to make them sick, thinking they would bring her back to work in the house.  The kids died...and they hung Chloe on the property.  They say Chloe and the children haunt the plantation  Shocked

if we have time, we may go to this one, Oakley Plantation.  John James Audubon stayed there and painted many of his bird pictures.

Saturday is my wife's high school reunion and I've convinced her to go.  I have yet to convince her how cool she would look pulling up on a motorcycle.  I think that would show all those uppity snobs that she hated in high school how cool and happy she is now.  So if we ride Saturday it will be to the reunion.  If she is more concerned about her hair and outfit then I guess we'll have to take the air conditioned 1985 Cadillac Hearse instead.   Roll Eyes

Well I got to ride last Saturday to Summerville and eat at Breck's.  Very nice atmosphere.  Had a Ribeye steak sandwich.  I
I wont be able to ride this weekend.  I got to go with family to Chesterfield to the farm.  But am taking the ole 9 mm and do some shooting.  Soo it will be a fun time with my 2nd favorite thing to do.
BUT next weekend, I am heading to Arkansas for 2 weeks.  Gonna spend some time with the family there.  Looking forward to 2 weeks of some riding at home.  Hiway 23, 7, 65, and Talemena Drive.....along with some other local roads.

Ride safe

Our local Fire Department (Steelville Mo)is having a poker run this weekend. All proceeds will go to buy equipment. They are all voulenteer and need some new stuff, so its a great cause. A lot of the folks putting this run on supported us this spring when we had a run for the American Cancer Scociety so it time to return the favor.

Claimin' rain for us tomorrow but I will be involved with a Valkyrie . My wifes sister ol'man has ( 2 ) for sale he's had them for years a 1997 Tourer ( Red / White ) and a 1999 Standard ( Black / Silver ) both low mile bikes and the Tourer is sweet with some nice bling on it. He saw mine years ago and bought the Tourer then his at the time 15 year old son the Standard. My ridin' buddy Greg who rides the Kawasaki Police LTD 1000 y'all see me post pictures of is interested in the Tourer. I'd love to have the Tourer myself but there's no way I can afford ( 4 ) Valk's.If he does'nt buy I'll post them for him in the classifieds . I'll take a few pic's of both and post them tomorrow.

Started out for Eureka Springs. Encountered the dreaded "Fresh oil and gravel next 5 miles" sign.  tickedoff

Detoured and ended up in Roaring River state park. Sat and watched the tourists go by, then headed home.
