It seems like the only two choices for bags on the new Valk is either the Corbin ones or the generic black Honda ones.
The Corbin ones are really nice looking but I really don't want to spend $1800 on them.
I have read that the Honda OEM mounting brackets could be used to mount other bags on the Valk.
Has anyone put bags on their Valk besides the Corbin or Honda ones? If so please share!

I haven't tried yet but I really need to get around to it.
I have my brackets just laying around if you want the dimensions. Although you would also need the dimensions on the spacing from the exhaust, rear blinker, and rear peg (if you have them on the bike, I dont).

Those look interesting. I browsed over the site but didn't see any actual dimensions other than total capacity. Anyone have a set they can measure? They look kind of skinny. I refuse to buy a saddle bag that can't hold a half helmet or a twelve pack of beer.

I don't think those will work since the inside of the bag is not flat. I just sent them an email though to ask if they would work. I had those bags on my previous bike I owed and they are a pretty good size and were nice. I would say they are about the same size of the bags that come on the Valkyrie Tourer. I will let you know if what they say. Someone needs to find a different solution

OEM real-valkyrie bags + OEM new-valkyrie mounts + some kind of adapter might get you something like this: The rear turns are kind of in the way... -Mike

Those look good on the new valk, hubcasc. mmmm maybe something to think about. Problem is that old OE valk bags are freakin expensive as well.

I like how the OEM old Valk bags look on the new Valk.
So if we can find a bag that is flat on the back so the Honda OEM brackets can mount to it and sized closely (perhaps a little smaller) to the old Valks bags then we might have a good alternative?
I will have to measure my 1998 Tourer bags and start looking around.

So champion look a likes and LED plate frame? If you do something with the turn signals so that you can move the bags back a little further than my mock-up, I think it would look real good. My best idea was to use new-Valkyrie OEM bag mounts and some kind of home-made adapter, it would probably work... Champion bags are terrific, but if you go that route, it is about the same amount of money to just bolt on some Corbins... -Mike

Mike, you are the one who thought us not to take the easy way out. Corbin's are nice but not very roomy and I blame you for that mock pic. Now that I see it!! The old bags look sooooo good!!!!

I think the old bags complement the air wings.

Mike the bags, off of a Shadow?
Search me ... I've had two non-matching carcasses I bought on eBay for years, and one new old stock lid. I think the one in the picture is funny looking, it says Tourer, but the paint pattern is not Tourer. Were Shadows that way? -Mike
