ANy of you all bringing your F6Bs to Inzane? I'm planning on bringing mine. I was a little back and forth about either the Valk or the F6B . However, the idea of not being constantly reminded of the 5 gal. fuel range of my Standard Valk tank helps make the decision easier.

I'll probably bring mine.  Since I bought the F6B I have to force myself to ride the old Valkyrie, so on a trip I'll surely take the B.  Still need to register.

I couldn't make up my mind so I went with price. Love my Valkyrie's weight. Do you notice a change in handling?? The reviews I've read said the Valkyrie with the 19 front wheel and different steering angle handles much better that the F6B?

Much better?  Don't know about that. Test rode the Valkyrie before buying my F6B. It does a nice job. It obviously is lighter. You start adding in the things that most guys do like bags etc... and some of the weight advantage begins to disappear. coolsmiley
My F6B handles very well though. It's definitely better than my old school Valkyrie. It carves through some mountain twisties with ease. I was pumped after my first ride into the Smokies with the F6B. cooldude

For the record, the new '14/'15 Valkyries (Goldwing F6C...) have 6 gallon tanks.

I don't have a 14 or 15 Valkyrie. Roll Eyes For the record , the standard Valkyrie tank for 97-2003 is just a hair over 5 gallons. coolsmiley

Did you even read my original post which was in response to the theme of this thread about Ed Norton trading in his 14 Valk on a F6B? Then in my post I asked if any were bringing their F6Bs to Inzane and WHY I was going to bring my F6B instead of my Valkyrie?   uglystupid2 Oh, and BTW, the F6Bs are 1800.

I don't think anyone said the 14 Valkyrie would not handle fine. Having ridden both, I was responding to the idea from Dans2014 that the Valk handles "Much Better than an F6B" . I don't share that assessment. Having been on the dragon many times and also with my F6B , I can assure you it handles it with ease. cooldude

It's actually supposed to be 318 turns in The Tail of the Dragon. BTW the supposed fastest time on the Dragon was made by a fully dressed Gold WIng.

Woah hang on a second... The F6B has an 1800 motor?!?!?! (that's my sarcasm font)

For the record, you (and the OP) are posting in the "1800 Tech Board" where you can find and create "Discussions for the 1832cc Valkyrie".

So yeah, I sure did see what topic of discussion started the thread. Been following it from the start. Didn't think it contributed much to the discussion of 1800 Valks, so I didn't want to reply until I had something to contribute regarding the 1800 Valkyrie.

I'm not a moderator, but the thread itself doesn't really belong here. So the OP had an 1800 Valk and traded in for an F6B? Cool, glad you dig the new bike but the post in itself is of little interest to me reading this forum where I expect to read fun, informative, or interesting threads about you know, 2014/15 Valkyries.

I dig the F6B and the 1500cc Valk, but I don't care to read threads discussing riding F6B's and the 1500cc Valkyrie to various events and why the current Valkyrie is not a better handling bike.

In case you (or the OP) are lost, this board is the 1800 Tech Board.

Doesn't take a moderator to understand the purpose of this particular section of the forum. Here, I'll help: "Discussions for the 1832cc Valkyrie"

End of story.

I will be riding my f6b to insane, after adding true cruise control
And knowing the long stretches of highway it will come in handy.
Also being able to go 200  miles before I stop will come in handy.
Love my f6b, the only thing I need to get used to is all the Tupperware.

Thork86 LOOK at the Title . It's the "1800 Tech Board" Not the 1800 Valkyrie Tech Board. coolsmiley

Troll.  Who?  Me ? yeah right.
You're just looking for an argument
You have 34 posts and come in here looking just to argue some vain point about which doesn't really apply in context. With your issues, then you should have an issue with the whole thread and subject. But, then again, this is the "1800 Tech Board " Not the 1800 Valkyrie  board.
I guess you fit the definition of a troll. If the shoe fits.  cooldude

This isn't about Honda vs Honda, or 1832cc vs 1832cc. Sheesh, I even said I like the F6B and the 1500 Valk.

Say what you want about my thread count, all you have to do is look at the posts. I talk about Valkyries in every post except for this thread responding to the F6B Boyz.

What's going on is easy to see if you objectively read: a couple folks get butt hurt when it's suggested that their F6B could DARE be considered outclassed in the handling department by the new Valkyrie. They go on the offensive, saying the F6B is better for them.

But honestly... This thread makes as much sense as posting your sweet new Subaru Impreza sedan in a forum dedicated to the Subaru WRX STi. It's not that I don't like your new purchase, it's just not the right forum for its discussion.

I'm all for freedom of speech, the 1832cc motor, and anything on two wheels! (Murica!) But when you can't accept any criticism of the F6B, maybe it's time to preach your gospel elsewhere.

I'm new here, but the first thing I do is read forum rules. Maybe you should review the rules of the road: "The VRCC Bulletin Board is a forum for everyone that owns or is interested in the "Cruiser of the Decade", the Honda Valkyrie."

Wow Thork,

Thanks for utilizing your astounding 20 some days of membership and 35 posts in the VRCC to explain to members that have been here over 15 years how we are supposed to post on these boards.

I am not even going to go any further than that, despite many temptations.  Grin

PS, I am ordering a set of HID headlights for my 1800 CC F6B today and plan on installing them in the next 2 weeks, so NOW this is a tech post suitable for the 1800 tech board.  2funny

For those of us with no life outside Bikes I like any stimulation F4 or 6 related and some slightly heated banter comparing bikes I feel is good.  I wonder what the makers of this web site talked about when opening the new board after the 2014 Valkyrie came out. I think that is when it was?  The bold seems to point to 1800 and the non bold below seems to point to 1800 Valkyrie. My guess is it was created after the Valkyrie came back out and I don't know what came first the F6B or 1800 F6C. I wonder seeing there is a 1500 board and and an 1800 board specific that maybe they might want to create a 1800 F6B as an option. For the local Central Florida chapter all that have jumped so far have gone from 1500 to F6B or full on wing. And they are awesome bikes. I will be buying my 14 Valk Thursday and will be the first to go from 1500 to 18F6C locally that I know of. My thought is Valk members who have been here way longer than me now have F6Bs I would think want to stay here where it is home.  Options options I say. Create a F6B specific board, in this site, for sure it will grow fast according to what I see here locally.  I feel it would grow Faster than the F6C owners.  cooldude

You really do meet the nicest people on a Honda!

I like the board. I like how most of the people contribute info to the 1800 Valk discussion. I just don't like how some folks can't take criticism. Such is life.

Hey, Ed ... somewhat surprised you changed bikes.

Yeah, I wished I had some of the doo dads that the BIGGER bike has, but wanted the weight reduction of the Valk to see how it worked.  And, I like it fine.

Of course, I still have my 2001 Wing that is my most favorite bike of all time ... and, I've had many.  That said, if I didn't have the Wing, I would certainly opt for the F6B bagger version.  I like the bags on the F6B, and the 'heft' look, too.  I do suppose it gives away some of the handlling and quickness the Valkyrie has.

Let us know how you find the new bike vs the Valkyirie you had.  I think you also had a Wing, too ... true?

I can't say I disagree.  I like checking the Tech section to see what everyone has been adding or changing on their bikes.  Next thing I know there's a pictures thread and the occasional F6B stuff.  I wish it would have stayed strictly technical and not turned into "General Discussions"

Of course. This forum has been a huge learning experience for me.  I now know that I can completely skip the General Discussion section and just visit the 1800 Tech section for all my technical (both Valkyrie and F6B now) and general discussion needs.  You saved me all a mouse click, thanks.  Sorry I wasn't seeing the big picture there.

I traded in my 2014 Valk for a 2015 F6B it fits my riding style better.  Cool

Gosh that's beautiful Ed, love the blue. I was researching the F6B's last night on the F6B Forum and saw another very sharp color for 2015, the Matte Silver.
