Anybody have ideas on moving the trunk on an interstate  back a little?
I put a Russel day long on over the winter and moma says it puts her a little more forward so i would like to move the trunk a little.

Another idea is to modify the seat back cushion a bit thinner.

There was a post not too long ago where he used a piece of flat bar steel to move the trunk back.  I'm sure if you search for it you can find it.

There are 3 issues, the mount at the front of the trunk, the bolts at the bottom front of the trunk, and the bolts on the bottom back of the trunk. 14 years ago, I used some aluminum stock, a 1" by 1" rod, 3 to 4 inches long, to bridge the distance from the front bracket to the front of the trunk (drill and tap both ends). I used a 1/2" by 1/2" piece the width of the front of the trunk, and  drilled new mounting holes further back on the chrome rails under the trunk. Finally, I used 3 flat pieces of 1" by 1/4" stock  3 to 4 inches long, to support the back of the trunk.  Painted it all black. Sometimes when backing up my trike, I've used the trunk to push against, and it's held up fine. I used the correct thread size screws, and countersunk the front cross bar, and the flat rear mounts. Once you take the trunk off, you'll see what you need to do, sorry I don't have pics.
