invite a few buddies over to "bust a few caps" without disturbing the neighbors....there's an indoor gun range here locally, but it costs a little bit....about 90 miles North in my hometown there is an outdoor range at the end of a long dirt road out in the middle of nowhere on Federal Property.....

You ever near Dallas (And it's cooled off some!) gimme a ring, I've got 18 acres south of Waxahachie (50 miles south of Dallas) that I've got just for stress relief...

Putting holes in paper has it's place, but going to all the stores the day after Halloween and buying up all the discounted pumpkins, taking 'em out to the land and blasting 'em to smithereens? THAT is therapy!

Steamer, your welcome here any time.  I have just over 400 acres in one block.  Ya can shoot from 0 to about 800yds without an obstruction and I even have a pistol pit (old silage pit we dont use anymore) 25'x125' dug into a hillside with a concrete bottom.

Oh, and I reload too.  I have a Dillon 650 press that can turn out about 800 to 1000 rounds per hour of pistol ammo...  if you buy the components  cooldude

bought me about 10 years ago....but it's a one at a time basic reloading kit....it's been a long time since I reloaded any ammo....and according to some of the folks here, it's hard to get hold of some of the reloading supplies these days.....my Father-in-Law is a gunsmith and has several progressive reloading presses, but he isn't too generous about sharing any ammo with me.....LOL.....

Where are you located??.....it seems that some of the VRCC sometimes has "wrench parties", but maybe we need to have a "Lead Party".....just as long as the shooting is done while everyone is SOBER!!!.....guns and alcohol do NOT mix!!.... cooldude

Hey Stan, Joe and I were about three miles from Georgia last saturday when were on our waterfall ride. On reflection., we should have at least crossed the state line so I could have added Georgia to my " rode in map ".  We were thinking you might have made it up to ride with us.........

I live in Roaring River, NC.  And yes, alcohol and gunz or bikes  dont mix well. I dont have room to put folks up, though I have a big house.  Its under construction a bit.  You can bring campers/tents if ya want or borrow my camper.  Or stay at a hotel about 12 to 15 miles away in Elkin or North Wilkesboro.  As many as would like to come are welcome.  Ive got no cattle on the place right now so you could have the run of the place and camp anywhere ya like. If ya want to set up something, just give me some notice up front so that I can plan my work schedule around it.  Pretty good riding around here too.  The Blue Ridge Parkway isnt far.  Stone Mountain state park is just a few min away.  Stations Inn on the parkway is about a 30min ride away.  Is about an hour ride over to The Snake (HWY 421 at shady valley)...

Bus Drivers to expend pent-up energy that way??......LOL....do you have any ideas on where you'd like to ride to to sling some lead?.....Sludge's place is a ways off from us, but in some prime riding country......I know that we have an indoor range here in Athens, one in Lawrenceville, one over on Peachtree Industrial so I've been told.....and Scooter said he knew of an outdoor range somewhere off hwy 365?........decisions, decisions..... a great riding area....we have ridden in your neck of the woods many times...and I think you may be relatively close to Normandog?.....I haven't actually planned anything concrete, but was just wondering if any of our other VRCC members had a big enough spread to fire some pistols without having the neighbors call in the ATF, SWAT, Sheriff, etc, etc.....lol......I didn't include SC only because they are the only State around GA that does not reciprocate on the CCW permit..... Sad

I also figured that we've ridden to places for all types of other reasons, why not to shoot some guns since that seems to be another one of our "passions" here on the VRCC!!.....maybe we can talk something up?.....

Come on up here to ND.  I farm here, so have plenty of land to shoot on.  Nearest neighbors are over 1 mile away.  Only have 600 people in my county!

sometimes i forget how fortunate i am. here at the Lucky 7, i can just walk out the back door of our horse ranch...carry my gun "gear" about 100 feet....and i have a shootin' bench set up...with table, metal target stands at 25 yards....a burm to shoot at....etc. i can just walk out the back door and be shootin' at "the range" in seconds.

i have to admit, after all these years livin' in the country, i don't think i could ever live in da' city again. i like swimmin' naked in the pool when i'm hot from cuttin' grass....takin' a whiz when and where i need to...without worrying about neighbors...shooting guns...etc. Ok, some of that might be TMI  2funny

Shooting Range: Wilson Shoals WMA Location: Banks County
Facilities: 75-yard range
Directions: From Gainesville: Take Hwy 365 North, 11 miles from exit 24. Turn right on Mud Creek Road, go 1 mile and turn left on Old Cornelia Hwy. Go 0.1 mile and turn right on Yonah Road. Go 2.1 miles and turn left on Grant Mill Road. The range will be 1 mile on the right.
Range Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday:
9:00 am-7:00 pm or sunset, whichever is earliest
Tuesday: 12:00 pm- 7:00 pm or sunset, whichever is earliest
Sunday: 12:00 pm-5:00 pm

The forest road is gravel but I managed it easily on my skinny ST tires.

They do have a range master there at all times and a Porta Potty.

My 13 year old daughter and I shoot United States Bench Rest Competition with .22 caliber rifles.  Last year we shot over 10,000 rounds.  This year with all the price increases we haven't shot as much.  It's always fun to watch my 80 pound 13 year old little girl out shoot the vast majority of the men we shoot against.  She has muscle control like I can only dream of having.

We may even get Mrs. Nikki to shoot... haha!

with her.....I have a .45Auto, .44 magnum, and .22 revolver that is the little brother of the .44 magnum.....I haven't reloaded any ammo in a long time or even shot my guns...seems I'm always too busy riding the Valk.....

I am seriously looking into buying one of the Kahr .40's that Brian posted about....for concealed carry.....I was looking around in a gun shop saturday and couldn't believe that a brick of .22's was around $30....WTH??....

I just remembered where Swainsboro is also.....I run right by there on US 1 every time I ride my bike to Savannah.....I don't think I've ever driven through town though...
