Sorry I made ya feel like you had to 'move on".   For that I am sorry your offended.
Your a good friend.  I have edited myself on several posts.
I have repeatedly, as I am sure others here have, went to reply to a post and erased it.
 I come from an "apolitical" family.  My family has for years....paid their taxes and tried to be good citizens.  They did right by their neighbor and expected to be treated the same by their neighbor.  Very simple.
However I am finding it is harder and harder to stand back and say it will work itself out.   Or that these guys are the "smart" ones and will do what is right.  It aint happening.
Right now there is just too much crap being shoved and shoveled into the gullets of the "working class" citizens.  These "plans", Czar, Stimulants, etc are being forced.  NONE of them are good things.
I hate that the country I grew up in for the last 50 yrs will not be the same country my children and my children's children will be able to enjoy.  Its being warped into a Neo fascist regime.
The fact that the truth about these politicians is being so skewed to make them saints is absolutely crazy.  And Oss is right.....it will be the Kennedy this and the Kennedy that.....just like EVERY other politician that dies.  It angers me that this healthcare bill that 300,000,000 people do not want and are completely against will be stamped the "Ted Kennedy" healthcare Bill, passed by less than 500 "Zealots" who border on Osama Bin Laden fanaticism even though 300,000,000 are utterly against it..  We lose (or hear of the endangerment of) personal freedom's at a rate of about 1 a week.
I'm tired of these F*^&ers acting like little dictators.
Sorry if your offended.  I hope we can still ride together.  Rding the valk is about the only thing that keeps me sane these days.  The problem is....I just cant ride enough.

Just so you know Robert the ONLY thing that offends me is people who choose to be offended......There is no one on this board that can do or say anything that will offend me. Pissing me off or making me think they are blithering idiots is another thing and yes that happens from time to time.....This is not one of them.
The POINT AGAIN....Since it seems to have zoomed over your head as well is.....Knowing that the age of most of us VAlk riders is 40+ years of age Who among us do you think doesn't know who Mr. Ted Kennedy was and all things he did or didn't do? Good or bad. Even his so called supporters knew what he was....They just chose to see him different than us because they could maybe get something from him.....It became CRSYSTAL CLEAR from your first post what your thoughts and feeling where and are.Yet you continued to post at every opportunity all the facts about him you could with some personal feeling thrown in....... We get it Robert.... The moving on I was speaking of was to stop posting this garbage. Actually I thought I was trying to help you out.....Folks grow tired of hearing or reading this type stuff on this board and you only alienate yourself by continuing to do so.

We are both big boys and can make our on choices.....I choose to shut up on this board about politics and religion.....That's MY choice....Wish more would make it.

Here is one of those rare occasions where I actually subscribe to both viewpoints.  Being a staunch conservative I agree with most of the points that Roberts presents on this board.  However, Detn8er makes a good point...even though I am a simple "good ol boy"  from the great state of TN; I somehow managed to comprehend the point Robert was making the first time.  Certainly by the third post, the old saying "For those who understand, no explanation is needed....for those who don't understand, no explanation is possible" applies!!  I certainly have been know to express my opinion on various matters on this board, but I do understand that after a point that there are diminishing (or even negative) returns.

Unlike some on this board, I do not denigrate those that post topics I personally am not interested; as long as it conforms to the rules established by the moderators of this board, I respect their right to discuss these topics.  As an example, I am sure that there are some among us that are atheists...that is their choice.  However I would not feel that it is appropriate for them to denigrate others that post prayer requests from time to time.  Other members on this board may possibly be offended by "the secretary auditions", however once again I feel this is "their problem" and not those that participate in the thread (by the way, there are some pretty awesome photos on that thread...but I digress!!!!).

I may be just a dumb old country boy, but I have found out that if I don't like a particular thread....I SIMPLY GO ON TO THE NEXT ONE....futhermore if I REALLY don't like the thread, I don't make things worse by pressing the "REPLY" button.

I looked at the posts that Robert has done and found most to be informative and not slanderous. I actually enjoyed his post on Kennedy and I also like so many other Americans are mad at what is happening to our country and the lack of leadership that has our interests at heart. This is one forum to not only vent but to exchange ideas and generally get a feel for what others think. Like has said before if you don't like the post then pass on, what ever it may be. Strong eagles alias broken chicken now was one example of the posts that I would pass on. At first I would respond but soon realized that it was like oil and water and didn't want to get upset so I passed on. I must admit though I would peek in and see what he was saying kind of like gossip. One mans ceiling is another mans floor and what may be to deep/far out may be the very thing that someone was thinking. As long as it not slanderous to those who post or just posted to get a rise I say continue on. I also have learned a few things here that I didn't know and I appreciate the information. Sometimes info posted in a certain way may seem antagonistic when really in person it would not be taken that way. If you narrow the things or the people who post to much then it could get very boring. Thats the trick not to have to many rules and keep discussions out of the attack mode.
