I finally got a Saturday off, so I attacked the choke cable replacement, it wasn't so all bad to do but it still runs rich on the low rpm, I was hopping the bad cable was keeping the chokes just a tad open, well I guess I need to dig further into this issue. guess its just not ment to ride sow huh.
well anyhow we got 4 inches of snow last nite, yes May 18th and im looking out my window at snow.

Your time will come,,, but it does make one wonder, where in the heck do you live??????

Might need to check the pilot screw settings.

ok well i took my little pilot screw out this morning and got all set up with a little mirror and i guess someone might have done me a favor, they cut a slot in the screw to use a screw driver, now just need to find a small screw driver , i cant get my new little tool to slide up in the opening, i will take it apart and put in turning lath and take some material off the outside

Hey Eric here is a bit made to adjust the pilot screws

http://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-Replacement-D-Shaped-08-0242/dp/B003CMWC4U/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1431477198&sr=8-6&keywords=carburetor+D+tool

and there are some different ones being sold on eBay.  If you search or check the service manual, there are recommendations on setting them, but generally, if you have stock jets, I believe a starting point is about 2 to 2 1/4 turns out from seated, and don't seat too heavy as they have been known to jam tight.  What are you going to turn down?? your tool?? seems like it should fit. Will it not go into any of the carbs?

Minot North Dakota,,,,  yep, pretty far North

the little d shaped tool i got off ebay didnt want to slide into the carb body where the jet is, i pushed the pin out put in the lathe and just shrunk it up, or maybe trued it up, it might have been out of round from the crimping process of the tool, its all fixed i tried it on the way back carb, yes the easiest one, not sure how the front one will be, thats another days prodject
