For those of you that have or are about to complete your first oil change, what brand & weight did you choose?

Thanks,

10-40, one of the two brands auto zone carried (either Castrol or Mobile 1), and a car filter.

Good question.. I will be doing the same soon...I'm gonna stick with Honda's recommendation of 10w-30w oil...preferably petroleum based 'motorcycle oil'...and then once I hit around 1500mi...gonna switch over to pure synthetic...  final drive oil as well...

Motorcycle synths are awesome (i.e Mobil/Castrol 4T racing oil, Amsoil..etc)  HUGE difference in performance/reliability over traditional petrol based stuff...

1st service is not till 4000 miles or 1 year, I'll prolly use Honda full syn 10/30 at 2000 miles. I used 10/30 Honda oil in my 2012 NC700DCT in 100+ deg AZ weather, never used a drop between oil changes. If you deside to use 10/30 full syn, I think Honda is the only place that offers it.

I believe Amsoil has the factory recommended blend, 10w-30.  I usually use Castrol 4T racing oil, but not sure they have the 10w-30.

Yeah, I checked they don't have a 10/30w 4T product...To bad, it's great oil..I like it better then Mobil and Amsoil's offering.  I loved the way my Sabre shifted using that oil..plus the engine mechanically was incredibly quiet...
