About six years ago I did the exact same thing that Jess did, but I used a slightly different technique to secure the lights. I used a fly cutter to cut circles from aluminum sheet that were exactly the diameter to fit in the rear of the lenses, stuck the LED to the aluminum circle, and then hot glued the aluminum circle to the rear of the lenses. As I remember it, removing the lenses from their bed in the light fixture was the hardest part of the whole process. The wiring of the run/brake lights was not a big problem, but you do have to bring in another wire for the brake part of these lights which is easily found under the right side cover. I did not use the original connectors since they were only a two wire connection. I connected all the wiring with solder and shrink tubing and it has not had a problem yet. Any way you go about this procedure will require more time and money than you might think, but the results are worth the effort to me. My wife was really glad when I finished this project and finally cleared off her kitchen table...Jim
