I found some black highway pegs on eBay and did a little modification to get them to fit.  They are made for the HD 1.25" bars.

So, I cut myself a piece of 1" abs pipe and used it for a shim.  I also drilled and tapped the bar and peg mount for an 8mm bolt that I had around from my wife's Spyder so that they don't rotate on the engine guard.  I had to do the same thing for my Interstate.

They came out pretty good.  They also have an adjuster for the peg angles and on the main arm.  Pretty dusty in the garage, though

and they fold up nice.

They are $92 on eBay.  They are made in China but the quality is surprisingly good.  They look like a Kuryakyn knock off but at 1/3rd the price.  It only took about a week to get them from China.  I am more than happy with them.

Here is the ebay link:

They also have them with shorter arms if you have really long legs.

I used thin walled 1" pvc pipe and a piece of gorilla tape around the bar.  It seemed to fit best.  The thick walled stuff was too thick.

Is there a spline or pin where the clamp bolts to the arm or are you relying on the nut and bolt alone to stop it from spinning when the weight of your foot is on it? And, your pic shows what looks to be a jam screw on the clamp, it that used to secure the clamp from slipping? The big buck Kuryies use splines, on the Goldwing mounts they use a clamp that goes under the valve cover with a rubber bumper to secure the clamp from slipping.

A pic in one of the Chinese auctions shows a 1 1/4" to 1" reducer that looks similar to your PVC shim but doesn't mention it in the description. I think you can buy Kury 1" clamps for about $20ish?

There are splines just like the Kuryakyn ones, so you can adjust the arm to different angles.

I drilled a hole through the clamp into the engine guard.  I then tapped the hole in the engine guard to screw in the bolt to prevent the clamp from turning.

That sounds reasonable, My experience with those style clamps is they don't move easy when tight, I can see using the screw with the pvc shim but I'll bet with a 1 inch clamp you wouldn't have to use the screw. I think you can buy 1" clamps for $10 to $20 for a pair on fleebay. You did a good job of pioneering this mod. That's about 1/2 price of the Kuryies. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kuryakyns were China imports, maybe even made in the same place where yours came from....

Here is the instructions:

"Before you begin, please remember that you will need your VRCC member number and VRCC Password to log into Photostash.  Registering for the message board does not provide you that information.  If you have not yet Joined the VRCC(separate from joining the message board), do so before you start.

Ok, this was quick and dirty, using Jack's old photostash tutorial.  This will show you how to add a photo to photostash, copy the direct link to the photo,  and post it here.

Part 1: Add photo to photostash, copy link to clipboard.

Part 2.  Post photo on message board

Obviously there are lots of places you can store your pictures online besides photostash.  All you need to post a picture here is the DIRECT LINK to the photo.  Paste that between the IMG tags and you are golden."
