:cooldude:Wow...this thing ROCKS man!  I was missing my old Sabre at first, but now that I am getting used to this thing it's really beginning to show it's brilliance...just another well designed MOTORCYCLE you know? I can't believe how well this things corners man...so stable and solid..once you grab a line it STAYS there..and the power..wow...only had up to about 4k rpms...only 190mi on it...Can't wait to see how much harder she pulls up to redline...Need to get about 800mi on it then I am switching to full synthetic...I can only imagine how much smoother and faster she'll be after that.. laugh

Like the flames  cooldude

Here is my Shadow 1100 Tourer and my other Interstate super valked both  Valks with car tire. Both of these bikes were sold two Saturday's ago to club members.

I still have my black I/S but I will not keep it.   We have another small place we call the cottage for weekends and better riding.

I know someone else that had an I/S here..........

Those are really clean machines man!  I am the same way...nutz about detailing them...I polish my bike EVERY TIME before I ride it...

My Shadow Sabre was a cool bike...With it's dual carbs, dual offset pins on the crank...two spark plugs per cylinder..and three valves...along with it's light weight (580lbs) and then with the mods...it really moved out.  No problem with her still pulling at 120mph...plus with the Metzler tires it cornered quite well despite the longer rake...it also, like the Valk, was ROCK SOLID at all speeds and was more laid back with taller gearing in 5th...

One thing I must get used to with the Valk is it's more neutral seating position...you're in the wind much more...With the Shadow you sat more inside of the bike negating some wind blast.  I put a switchblade deflector windshield on it in which completely negated all bugs and rocks from hitting me...

The only prob with the Sabre was the small temperature range it would run it's best in.  Temps above 80 degrees and below 50 would cost some power...

The Valk with it's FI has not that problem.
