Walked outside the house today and it actually felt cool!...had to take a ride...so I took off towards Wimberly.  Ended up doing a ride that almost copied the Mid-Winter Gathering ride last February - except for not missing the turn unto FM1888.  (Old Geezer & Lisa know what I'm talking about! laugh
Anyway, stopped in at Luckenbach for a burger and beer and went on my merry way.  Had some good long stretches where I did not see another vehicle and very little traffic overall.  175 miles in the middle of the day and I was not totally dehydrated when I got home.  Best ride (temperature-wise) that I've had in a long, long while! Wink

93 degrees when I got home around 5:00pm which is about 10 degrees cooler than "normal". Cool

The only Valkyrie in a sea of Harleys in Luckenbach today!
I guess all the other Valks in Texas are doing the Ghost Ride with QOTFU and Duct Tape. Wink

YEA Valk Boy, it DID seem cool when we took about an hour and a half ride tonight around the Pearland metropolis.  I didn't even sweat while putting the bike away into the garage!  Not quite as cool as FB is waaay up North, but it was a really enjoyable ride....

Glad you got to ride VBJ!

I rode up the panhandle saturday, it wasn't planned, just was so nice Saturday when I got on 287 I kept riding north.. We had a few cold drinks last nite, at my cousins house.   Got up this morning and rode back (cousin and his wife rode along halfway then went back north), it was 59 in Fritch this morning and at 9 a.m it was 63... A little warmer here when I got to Jacksboro, but it was great!!!!!

about 700 miles this weekend of good riding in great weather.  I had a blast.

see ya,
