Hi guys,
In keeping with trying to expand the VRCC forum, and get some more local activity, I asked for the BC Chapter to have their own forum board opened here.
I hope this will promote some riders to meet up and support one another.
Hope to see you all in the future, and at our group rides.
Thanks Scott for opening it up for us.

Thanks Gil,
I've already emailed the "local" boys who I had email addresses for, to inform them of this forum along with the VRCC group.

Sorry Paul, I meant to text you and see what time you drive out to work in the morning. Figured I would follow you.
I left at 6:45 this morning for a drive to Hope for breakfast. Hwy 10, and made it there in 1:45 hrs. Came back the perimeter road Hwy 17, 3 miles longer, 1:30 hrs.
New car tire, Austone Taxi Tire, and averaged 10 miles/L at 70 out and 75 MPH in.
My next ride will be to Inzane on the morning of the 6th. Going to leave home at 6am, eat just after Seattle, in North Bend WA, after 9am.
There is always the Tuesday night GWRRA meet. ???

Thanks Gordon for email and updated forum info. It will be great to have a BC message / ride forum on here. Sold my IS Trike, miss the Black Dragon but got newer 3 wheeler to tour with my bride. Keeping my eyes open for a nice and low km std or tour model for my solo Dragon. Peaches n cream colour would be nice. If you see a local deal let me know. Talk soon. Terry

Thanks for doing this, Gordon, and for the email. How many Valkyrie riders from BC are on the forum, anyways? BTW.... what's up with the Goldwing avatar? Cheers!

There is a few around town and out of town also, but we aren't too tight knit of a community here, we all ride with others.
Marcel from Chilliwack started up cCc on Meetup, and has since sold his Valk and moved if I remember correctly. They are a mixed ride group and a few women riding their own. Look them up, since they're your neighbours.
As for my avatar, a long story. Basicly after my mc accident, I decided a daily mc rider I wasn't, work was only 5 min away and the risk was too high, so I bought a convertible instead. Top stays down in dry weather.
Bought the 88' GW at the 25 yr mark so I could get the collector plate and only pay $170 a year for insurance, but can ride year round if I want. Still buying accessories for the Valk when I find them cheap, and have a collection of items, I've even offered up to Icandoitfaster to use/try out, and keep my eyes open for that just-right-for me Valkyrie I'll then jump out and buy.
Missed a couple last winter, maybe this winter?

Sorry to hear about the accident... hope it wasn't too serious.
My '98 Valkyrie (standard), that I bought just a few weeks ago (I'd been looking for awhile, and was prepared to head to AB as there seems to be lots sitting in garages over there), popped up in Abbotsford, so I got lucky. Aside from being neglected and under-ridden, with only 34,000 miles on it, it's in great shape. Ironically, this is my second Valk as I purchased a '97 Tourer, brand new off the show room floor, but sold it a year later. Always regretted selling that bike; it was a beautiful dark green/cream.
I actually just sold an '82 GW Aspy, that I bought last year for the same reason as yourself... the collector plates, plus the nostalgia of being the first year of the Aspencade. It was/is in great condition but at 6' 2" and 250+lbs, it was just too small for me, and very under-powered, compared to the Valkyrie.
Happy searching!

Hey Gord,
My service guy says I have about 2000 Km left on both tires. My July trip down the coast to San Diego, over to Vas Vegas and then home will mean replacing tires on the go somewhere around LA or San Diego or making the change before I leave. I am really interested in the Auston Taxi Tire. Let me know how your bike handles on your trip to Inzane and back. I might purchase one and take you up on your offer to help install it.
Tell Tess to take tons of photos on your trip. You're going to see some amazing countryside!! Ride safe, paul

I'm currently in Hawaii and will be returning on August 22nd. I'll be available to ride any time after that but don't wait for me...plan something soon and lets get this chapter meeting together again. Once back, I'm available to meet anywhere between Vancouver and Chilliwack....I live in White Rock. Cheers, paul

Paul, good to hear your safe back "home". Are you going to post anything on your trip? stoked, I was trying to get ahold of a couple of people and decide on a place to meet, before posting, but you started it. I was suggesting every 2nd Sat morning for breakfast. Mike was in MR, Paul in WR and myself in Richmond. So trying to figure a place that is central to use all, but I have no clues on where, Surrey? Not too familiar. I enjoy River Rock buffet in Richmond. Roadrunner Café in Langley, might be small if we start getting more showing up. Might be a Denny's somewhere to meet up at. Where are you at? Any idea of when/where?

Anywhere in Langley or Fort Langley would probably be about middle ground for you and Mike. I'm good to go no matter where we plan to meet.....any excuse to ride is a good excuse. I'm also good with every 2nd Saturday morning as long as we meet fairly early. My brother-in-law may join us when he's not working if that's OK with the rest. paul

I was thinking 7-8am. Early enough for those who wish to ride to still have time to head out.
This would be a VRCC meeting. Like the Vermin to in Seattle. A monthly club meeting. Talking over business.
We don't have much of that to do, so talking over breakfast would most likely be enough.
