I'm not crazy about the brakes on the Valk so I bought a used adjustable GW lever which is more confortable for my little hand  :cool smiley:
It's plug and play, braking is better   cooldude

Why on earth did Honda skip the front and rear synchronized brakes you have on the GW and the CTX 1300 ?  Angry uglystupid2

What year Gwing did it come off? I have old weak hands, I would like to get both levers closer to the grip.

The linked braking wasn't a bad idea.  I had it on a VTX1800 I had years ago.  My only complaint about it was that is was a huge pain to bleed.  I never could figure out a way to do it without a true vacuum bleeder.  I ended up making a vacuum bleeder out of a little one horse vacuum pump and a pickle jar.  Which I still have today.  I just used it a month ago on a Goldwing trike that came into the shop

The other negative to it is extra lines.  My VTX had a raked and extended forks so I have to have new lines made.  Spiegler was the only place I could find any because you needed a distribution block that mounted under the lower triple tree.  At the time, he was the only person who made one.

I don't know, a recent one I guess. I was at the retailer's (12' km check up for oil and filter), he grabbed it  in his spare parts stock. I suppose any adjustable lever would do, it's really not a big deal.
My hands are strong but not that big  angel I'm pretty sure that with this brake lever I can brake harder because it's closer to the grip.

I bought my black levers off a guy in eBay.  He lives in the UK.  Any Goldwing levers will fit.  I just had to cut off a small tab on the clutch.

I too have smaller hands and would like adjustable brake levels.  can you provide a link where you bought the levels or a model number?

I thought the Valkyrie had linked brakes?

Thanks,

Brad

I bought them from this guy:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/bitzforbikes/_i.html?_nkw=goldwing+1800+lever&submit=Search&_sacat=bitzforbikes&_sid=56979721

I don't see any brake levers though.  Lots of them on Ebay though.  Just get one for an 1800 Goldwing.

The Goldwing Valkyrie doesn't have linked brakes.  Mine does have ABS.
