Hello everyone.  I've had my Valkyrie about a month now.  It was a brand new leftover.  I couldn't be happier.  I had a V65 Magna back in the 80's, and a 2001 1100 shadow from 2004 until I bought this bike and I thought "I wonder how different it is going to be" between my shadow and my Valkyrie.   All I can say is wow.  Absolutely love it.

I'm not new to riding but have never done and mods so I'm really not up to speed on aftermarket parts or where to get them.

What I want to do is add floorboards.  I did find J&P Cycles and they have a mini pair that are adjustable in both tilt and front to rear placement and have a 3/4 inch drop.  Do full size floorboards come with adjustments too?  Can a Valkyrie accept full size?

Highway pegs.   Are there a preferred pair that Valkyrie riders lean towards?

Power outlet to charge cell phone or gps - I notice Honda lists them for the 2015 Valkyrie but not the 2014.  Does the 2014 not have the wiring for it?  I notice in the install instructions on the Honda site that there is a plug for it on the wiring harness.

Besides J&P and Dennis Kirk are there other aftermarket companies for us?

These are just some things in wondering and your input/insight is greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much.

Juan

I like Kuryakyn 4050s with long arms...

The Honda power outlet goes in the little lock box under the
seat, and only is rated at a couple of amps. I use mine to drive
a relay for heated gear. On the plus side, it is a plug-n-play
clean install. On the minus side, it is expensive.

There is a good selection of 12v plugs that mount on the handlebars on ebay and any M/C vendor. I mounted mine on the bars, ran a wire under the tank, the wire is encased in small diameter flexible insulation and is plugged in under the seat where hubcapsc mentions, you can go to qualitycycleparts.com and match the male end needed by paging through the pics of connectors in the Honda section, for about $5 you get the male end and the crimp on metal inserts. I can't recall the part # I bought. Hubcapsc gives a good choice of hyway pegs, but consider your inseam length, there are sevral choices of arm length.

Awesome guys thanks.  The 2014 has the plug as well?  I'm just wondering why Honda doesn't list the power outlet as an accessory for the 2014 but does for the 2015?

Mine is a 14 also and has the connector and the hole to mount the OEM plug, you have to remove the seats to see and get to it, it is mounted below the end of the fuel tank. The Honda accessory must not have been ready to sell in 2014, it is no way worth what they want and have it limited to the inconvenient location they choose.
