12v power outlet

I have a bar mounted outlet I need to install.
Has anyone added one of these to their Valk, and do you have any recommendations for routing the wires back the battery?
Does the tank have to come off?
Any help is appreciated.

If you look under the seat in the tool compartment. You will find the accessory wires attached to the plastic wall. Two wires, green & grn/blk. Green is ground and grn/blk is positive. They are on a 10amp fuse and only have power when the key is on. You won't drain your battery then. Don't ask me how I know.

bscrive,
Thanks for the info.
I'll make use of those wires instead of direct hook up to the battery terminals.

I ran 2 wires in a plastic loom under the tank, its zip tied to other wires up front and ran under tank without removal and zip tied to frame rear of tank, there is not much heat under tank due to flat 6 engine. Take a good look at the plug at end of fuel tank and go to qualitycycleparts.com and find the matching male end, about 5 bucks will allow plug and play without cutting the wires. If you prefer to have hot always forget what I said about plug and go right to the battery. And to make this long story short you don't have to remove the tank.

How about a part number for the correct matching end for the wires under the tank?

I don't think you will find the male end at Honda but if you eye ball or take a pic of it under the seat you can match it from the pics at the web site I mention, may take 5 minutes. They will send you 2 metal crimp on ends and the plastic male plug.
