I had talked with Paul over at C5 ignitions about the replacement of a Dyna3000 when I was looking at a blown Valk.  He had said that his kit would work in that application...you can tune different timing curves, and have the option to change on the fly.

Maybe something for you to check out.  I have the kit for the GL 1000, and am so far impressed with it.  Once I get the NOS hooked up, we will see if the timing works out.  Smiley

Christian:
I've got a Dyno 3000 that I've never used. Send me an email if you still need one.

Thanks for mentioning C5, never knew about them until now. I will have to contact to see what they have or can do for our valkyrie.

For a blown Valk the important feature of the Dyna is the ability for instantly removing 10 degrees of advance when on boost. An external Hobbs pressure switch provides the signal to the Dyna. I'm curious whether such an input exists on the C5.

I'm just about to buy a used dyna that worked on one valk but not on another. I'm worried its not going work very long or work at all on my bike. CA, if you talk to the c5 guys tell them others might be interested, especially if there is a way to retard timing for boost or nitrous. cooldude

There is a way to retard the timing...just haven't gotten that far into my build to have to worry about setting it up.  This set up I have is going on my 77 Wing with dual Weber carbs, so NOS was an easy addition.  My setup is currently on someone else's bike to help convince him he needed one!  Smiley

a recent response

"Right after we made the new Goldwing kit my co-designer passed away and we got incredibly busy. I am running about a week behind on shipping kits so most likely I will resume the 1500 project later this summer. The shaft needs to be completed and is fairly complex. The 1500 cam is hollow with cross drilled oiling holes that presents a unique challenge, but we've got it figured out (I think).

Hang tight until later this year and I will post news as we complete the project.

-Paul"

I suggest more inquiries be made, to let them know there is a major interest.
