A motorcyclist who was apparently annoyed by a closely following van tried to kick and punch the vehicle and ended up in a ditch.

According to the State Patrol, 26-year-old Allen Foster, of Bemidji, was traveling on Highway 89 north of Highway 2 Monday morning.

Authorities said Foster thought a van being driven by a 45-year-old man from Bemidji was following him too closely.

Foster then apparently pulled onto the shoulder to let the van pass. As the van pulled alongside his motorcycle, Foster allegedly tried to kick and punch the vehicle.

Foster then lost control of his motorcycle, went into the ditch and rolled.

According to the State Patrol, Foster sustained non-life threatening injuries.

I have felt that way on occasion but NEVER carried through with it, I scoot over and just let them go.

Man...I have thought of doing that exact same thing, then I think again. Roll Eyes
No matter how big your bike is, a four wheeled vehicle can still take us out.

Like others have said .... I have often felt like doing that but just slow down, move to the right and let them pass.

That is usually true, and I certainly don't suggest taking on car, but... yesterday while at a red light next to my friend Larry on his Goldwing and a "Smartcar" in the next lane, we concluded that at least his wheelbase was longer...  Grin Cheesy

Here is Larry at Atlanta Motor Speedway last fall: (That was fun!)

Ive done it. One time I remember I decided to take a country road home. A combine was coming at me in the other lane and a soccor mom in a mini van decides shes gonna pass him. She sees me and still goes. I'm going slow to give the combine room anyway. I'm at a damn near stop and she squeezes by me and the tractor. He stopped cause he knew she was going around. I give her a WTF look and I let out a kick that pulled my leg muscle. lol Just barly missed. I needed another inch and i woulda had her. The farmer gives me a thumbs up. After she left I sat thinking WTF just happened. I shoulda turned around and laid into her. Hind sight I guess.
My HD bud carries a hammer in a bracket that he welded to his saddle bag bracket. His 'road cop' he calls it. He has taken out a few mirrors on some cars. I was riding on day when a lady decided my lane was hers. Out came the hammer and she found her own lane. One swing at her window is all it took. He missed of coarse.
I guess I feel different then all of you. Its my lane. They ain't coming over easily. I'll speed up and look in there window a time or to. They take me out its their fault. I don't scare to easily. Plus Kits on the back to let them know how she felt about it! Undecided

Quarters? That's too expensive, we just used large steel washers. Flip one or two over your shoulder and it's goodbye windshield. Haven't done that since high school however, so you know it's been at least one or two years....or is it generations.

I've kicked in car doors a time or two when I was a younger and hotter tempered lad. And I still think it was the right thing to do. I'm sure it would hurt my foot or leg now dangit.
