Tucson - Its a dry heat

Dang; one problem after another.
Again, I did a search, and nothing...
How do you pull the little filter that rests inside/under the pressed in bronze that the float valve lives in?
I can see it, but it looks like it is non-removable.  Again, the parts breakdown (at least on Partzilla) does not even show it.

I guess I could try and grab the lip with a sharp edge pliers, and work a jewelers screwdriver around the edge.  But if it breaks, there appears to way to order the part?  How many years b4 that plastic screen falls apart?

I'm currently on hold waiting for the "old guy" at my local stealership service dept; they can't seem to find an answer...

This weekend job ain't starting well...

Finally got to talk to the "old guy" at the stealership.
Not replaceable.

Also finally found this older thread on the site:

Verified not replaceable.

Guess I'll just leave em be and hope for the best.  Though at some point these things will crack and disintegrate.  And when they do, little teeny tiny pieces of crap get in there and don't allow the float valve to seat, and it pukes gasoline out the carb vent.  Went through this a couple years ago on my 84 GL1200 - once on the road about 1000 miles from home, and once in my driveway....  As it took about 30 years for that problem to manifest itself, guess the Valks have another decade or so b4 it happens.

I guess at some point the fix will be to remove the brass insert (prolly destroy it in the process), replace the screen and then press fit in a new insert.  Note to self - check on this in 2025 if you have fueling problems with the Valk, if you're still around...
