Hi.   I was changing the fluids in the rear brakes and the chrome plastic cover just about cracked aperture at the bolt

Does anybody have the quick answer if this chrome plastic cover  can be bought in service parts or not?

If not.  Are there any solutions to replace or aftermarket pieces

Thanks for any help

If you're talking about the small rectangular cover with the window in it, yes. They are often available on eBay. I'm not certain that's the one you are talking about though. Is it right by your right heel when riding?

Yep.  That is the one - right foot with the window site.    Cool I will jump on ebay now.   Are they new or used from a parted out bike?

I've had to replace my cover twice due to chrome blistering and/or breakage.  There was a metal aftermarket cover available that was a great improvement.  I passed up buying one years ago and am still kicking myself.  Ouch,,,,,, ouch,,,,,, OUCH......

I bought the Cobra aftermarket used in $2008 for $19.95 (free shipping).  They are pretty rare.
