Hey Y'all...Does anyone have a good sugestion for a self cancelling device for turn signals on a Valk Standard? Most of the Motorcycles that I have owned lately already have self cancelling turn signals & I reckon I just got used to them. I had a guy holler at me as he passed me by today saying turn your @#$%^ turn signals off if you're not going to turn. Pretty embarrassing to say the least. Nothing you can say back to him, eh? It's not the end of the world so I am sure I will get used to it sooner or later. Heck, I remember when we did not even have turn signals. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas??? I have a 1997 Valk GL1500C Standard.
Thanks to all. Ride safe...& cancel those dang turn signals after turning. LOL... IBA 1990 tommy t  Embarrassed

Blinker Buddy. It works. They are also a sponsor of this club.

Blinker buddy. Ultimate Seats, one of our sponsers has them in his seats as an option. I don't know if he sells them separately though.

You could add a $3 piezo beeper to the circuit to beep and remind you. I got mine at Radio Shack.

Kisan makes a self-cancelling plug n play device.  I have one.  It's called the "Signal Minder".  I don't own stock in the company etc, etc, etc.     Cheesy         Here's a link

I did a quick search on DLP for "signal" and this is what is came up with.  Seems like there are a few options.

Personally I would not rely on a turn signal cancellation device.  I make it a habit to try and reach for my signals to cancel in every turn, even sometimes when they are not even on.  Some of my friends have self canceling and rely on them too much...and riding behind them can be quite misleading when they rely on them solely and forget to cancel them as well when quick turns are present.  I do like the buzzer idea tho..... considered that.

Okay, Y'all...After some considerable research I have decided to go with the RADIO SHACK 80 dB Piezo Pulse Buzzer. It operates on 12 Volts & is water proof. I checked out the reviews & one motorcyclist wrote a good one. Installed in the right place on the bike it should last a long time. I am going to pick one up tomorrow after work. Thanks for the info everyone. IBA 1990 tommy t

pick up a full wave bridge rectifier  too there like 1.99 then on the rectifer there are  an + stamped on it and a - stamped on it and two things that look like  sideway s's on it ground your buzzer's black wire hook the red up to the + on the bridge rectifer  and each of the sides way s's  to the light bulb in the headlamp housing i mounted the buzzer in the windshield brace or you will need two buzzers they run two hots to the bulb and ground the bulb threw the turn signals lamps and it will only beep in one direction  ok that is on a standard valk .. try it your way than mine
