Hey All,

Before I start I am not mad upset or pointing any blame to Jason or the seller just in general it was a huge pain for the install. (literally a pain)

I know lots of you have installed cobra light bars over the years and after yesterday Daddy O(Jason) and my self are amazed that many of you are not in prison after that ordeal. That is if any of you had the headaches we had. It took WAY too many hours to get it finished  but we hung in there and got the light bar and the lights all installed and working perfectly. with a happy Valk Owner.

Any possible issue we surely ran into it. He had purchased these used from another member and he managed to not get all the pieces way back when he bought them but the seller was good and found most of everything. but we didn't have the proper chrome bolts to hang the turn signals, we had no wiring at all (not a big deal, except during all of that I burnt the HOLY HELL out of my right arm when I laid my arm to rest on the soldering iron and we both heard the sizzle and smelt the burning flesh before I realized that it was my arm on fire). I guess there are special replacement parts for the turn signal mounting we had to improvise with the original ones. Metric Chrome bolts are just not available at any corner store around here.

So here they are all done, should have gotten a picture with the lights on but I was wore slap out and didn't think about that.

They do look good.  I was too cheap (and impatient) to go the Cobra light bar route.   They're expensive and don't come available often these days.  So I mounted ShowChrome floods on my crash guard.

I don't know about Ace Hardware in the Bay Area, but my local Ace has a nice assortment of metric chrome hardware.  Not cheap, but nice and shiney.

I hope you wired them in a circuit totally separate from the headlight circuit. If not, the next thing you'll be fixing is the start switch since it's already overloaded with the OEM circuit.

Yes, completely separate from the headlight circuit.  Wired it to the accessory, using relay, fuse, and switch.

Come on John Schmidt, you have seen my work posted in the past haven't you? crazy2 angel

It ain't real pretty but it is safe and functional. 2funny uglystupid2 Cheesy cooldude

Most connections where soldered and heat shrink wrapped, the only thing I didn't do and I am surprised I forgot was Dielectric grease on all connectors. We used a 30 amp relay with a 10amp fused for powering the lights themselves and I think it was a 3amp fuse on the trigger side of the relay. We surprisingly found a proper fitting weather proof on/off switch that fit perfectly in the cut out on the light bar.

Jason, I forgot to have you help me get my bike up on Jack-stands so I could pull the wheel,pumpkin,drive-shaft,U-Joint,Belly Tank, and likely clutch assembly. I am running out of time to make my repairs. Dangit! Undecided Angry

desertrefugee, there is only one full Ace hardware around my area. And I never even thought of them, thanks hopefully I will think of them next time. We made due with what I was able to scrounge out of my tool boxes, my garage and spare Valk parts box.
We spent  alot of time driving around looking for items and going to that Ace would have added another 1-1.5 hours probably with traffic and all.
