I don't know if that will fit.  I have a P205/60R16 bridgestone on Cheniqua with about 1/8" clearance - no problem.

Not sure I can actually answer your question, but my 205-60 fits
with no problem...as far as the swingarm goes. I did have to do the
nutcage and fender bolt mods but that doesn't affect the swingarm
clearance at all. I can still get a credit card between the tire and
the swingarm.

Remember the tire 'folds' around to get seated on the rim. It looks bigger till it gets mounted. It'll fit.

It may not fit.  Some are tighter than others.  Mine just touches the edges of the raised letters on the swingarm.  I'll probably have to pull it back off and hit that spot on the swingarm with a grinder and then touch up the paint.  Until then, I keep watching it for any signs of major rubbing.  So far, after about a week, I'm not seeing any rub marks on the tire.  But when I raise it up on the jack and spin it, you can definitely hear it rub very lightly.

Not sure of that tire size but my 205-60-16 Goodyear fits just fine and all I did was the nut cage mod.

lots of folks here use the 55 profile tire.

i use the 60, has 1/8" clearance to the swingarm

check the specs at Tirerack.....the 60 profile is actually more narrow than 55

the section width for the 55 is 8.4"     section width for the 60 is 8.2"

when you get it mounted on your wheel, the sidewall will pull in some.

i did the nut cage mod, that is all.

When you put the wheel back in with the 205 on it do you have to remove the pumpkin? I have a Falken 205/55 and while it's off the rim it is 220mm wide and the gap between swingarm and diff is 200mm (approx. measurements). I thought I'd roll it in to make sure it fitted under the guard first and it wouldn't go (I understand the tyre shape will change slightly on the rim but by nearly an inch??). This thread has got me wondering whether it will fit cleanly as I don't want rubbing on the swingarm, and I can swap the tyre for an alternate brand before it's mounted on the rim.

Not sure I would grind on that thing, may want to just give it a few good hits with a hammer to dent it in a bit. Someone in the past mentioned doing that for clearance. Just don't dent it too much so you can still get your drive shaft out, not sure how much clearance there is inside that tube.  coolsmiley

A 60 series tire is actually about .2 inches narrower than a 55.  More swingarm clearance.  But, it is taller, and probably would need nutcage removed.

I did not remove the "pumpkin" either.  I did loosen things up and replaced all the seals, o-rings, etc per the excellent instructions in the "tech tips" section.  Nut cages are gone and I switched to carriage bolts just in case.
I have about 3/16" clearance to the shaft side of the swing arm.  After about 5K miles I am still lovin' the lack of wear, smooth ride, and it handles fine in the Colorado mountains.

Just got the 205 onto the rim and fits no problem.......I should never doubt the info here.. cooldude

I did find that the tyre reshapes to a width of about 195mm overall, as opposed to the 220mm when it's not on the rim. I guess I should have figured that considering the recommended car rim width was seven inches and ours are only five. It does give a nice rounded edge to the tyre though.

Now its just a two week wait for the damper set to arrive..... Angry

Guess I'll just have to do all the other bits and pieces that I've put off till now (that's the trouble with year round riding weather).
Thanks for the help guys, don't know where I'd have been without the tech board.
