Does anyone know the measurements on the stock sissy bar rack? I have some kind of aftermarket one and it seem short, just wanted to see if the stock one is longer, thanks

Is this the one (#12) your asking about ?

Mine is 16 inches end to end of the bar not the brackets.

OE honda is approx. 9"x9".
It is 9" long and 9" wide at the seat but tapers to 7 1/2" at rear.

Reread your post and I misread the first time.

My 98 Tourer didn't have a rack when I bought the bike.

When I needed something to mount my trunk on, I used one from Big Bike Things.  It's flat and a little bigger...plus more surface area to drill holes into.

The "Valkyrie chromed lazer cut carrier rack".

It's a Harley trunk.  The one that they offer for the Heritage Softail.  They offer them in several styles and with studs or without.
