Dagnabit, TP knows that I am trying to work my way to East Texas for Ranger's BBQ.  I wake up this morning and he has done such a wonderful time of leading rides up here, I just fell in behind him and followed his tail lights.  WHERE DO YOU THINK THE RASCAL TOOK ME?!?!

Can you believe it????? Pike's Peak for pete's sake!!!!  A tad bit out of the way?  YOU BETCHA!

So, I run up to him and tell him, "Ummmmmm, TP, don't you think you may have taken me a tad bit out of the way for me to get to East Texas from Minnesota?  I mean, PIKE'S PEAK!!!!!"

He looked over at me and quietly informed me, "You big dummy - Pike's Peak, Iowa!"

Oh.

UFF-DA!!!!!!!!

Well, I guess  I need to start at the beginning today.  Laserpat and I left out being led by TP to Prescott, Wisconsin where Laserpat headed north and TP and I headed south along the Mississippi River through Wisconsin.

First off, I want to thank TP and Nancy again for the hospitality and the people of the state of Minnesota for allowing some vagabonds to play up there for a few days.

Man, the ride down 35 was awesome.  Wisconsin was NOTHING like I expected.  We are riding sweepers all day!!  We rode along the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin.

What views along that road!

Then we climbed our bikes up to the top of this little mountain outside Alma, Wisconsin and got to see a great sight of the dam and locks on the Mississippi.

Then TP took me through Wisconsin dairy country through these awesome roads with LOTS of sweepers..  How did I know it was dairy country?

We then went to Pike's Peak, Iowa....We crossed back over the Mississippi and went through this cool little town of McGregor, Iowa and then up to Pike's Peak.  Folks, what a VIEW!!!!!!

Awesome day of sights seeing and riding.  We wound up in Cedar Rapid, Iowa for the evening.  Tomorrow, alas, we will have to part ways only to hopefully meet again this weekend at Ranger's.

I HAVE HAD A BALL YA'LL!!!!!!!!

A LARGE TIME HAS BEEN PASSED - FOR SURE AND FOR CERTAIN!!!!!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Warren, I have to get a couple people on a plane, and then pick up their kids at school.    So when ya hit town be sure & call me for an update.   Oh, fur getted.  This is the youngest daughter & hubby taking off to celebrate her birthday.     She was born on Labor day a few years back.    She is like her Dad, any excuse to celebrate.

If at all possible, I'll go to Freedom Rock with ya & get ya headed towards Don's house for some Q...................   The timing has to be just right for it to happen however.

See ya later ya big old ugly, well I won't go there just now.

If you're ever in Southern MN or WI again, look me up. If you think 35 was nice, you should "ride the letters" (or county roads, as some might say). There are some rides around here (Winona) that will keep your pegs to the pavement all day, just gotta get off the highway.

Dress for rain as you head south.  Great pics, SS.  You have me green with envy again.
